Dear fellow citizens,
I want to announce my candidature to you all today. I have been thinking a lot about this and waited for the right moment to go for it. I will have plenty of time to serve my country this month in a very honourable position. Here you can already read my vision about our country, more will follow!
Individual rights
What is it that makes our country so strong, while we are so small in numbers? Why have we never been under a real PTO? How is it possible that our country still has a strong democracy? The answer we can find in our diversity. It is because of our different opinions and the willing to fight for it that we remain alerted. Sometimes those decisions lead to discussions, but I have all faith in our democracy to be resilient enough for this. I trust our congress to make the right decisions and will do everything to defend our democracy.
Military-First politics
One of my focus points will be our military. We will work this month to see if there are any potential dangers from outside. Also I want to stimulate the military policy and the usage of egov more and look for the possibilities to organize ourselves better during an attack. Another thing I want to return this month is the ally of the week idea.
Stability in the region
This month I want to focus on the stability in the region. We will contact and appoint ambassadors with every country that is nearby. We will also look at the possibilities of forming an alliance and improving foreign relations.

Ik wil mijn kandidatuur vandaag aan jullie allemaal bekend maken. Ik heb veel nagedacht hierover en gewacht op het juiste moment om ervoor te gaan. Ik zal meer dan genoeg tijd hebben deze maand om mijn land in een zeer eervolle positie te dienen. Hier kunt u alvast mijn visie lezen die ik heb voor ons land, meer zal weldra volgen!
Individuele rechten
Wat is het dat ons land zo sterk maakt, terwijl we zo klein zijn in aantal? Waarom hebben we nooit last gehad van een echte PTO? Hoe is het mogelijk dat ons land nog steeds een sterke democratie heeft? Het antwoord kunnen we vinden in onze verschillen. Juist doordat er zoveel meningen zijn en juist doordat we de kracht hebben om hiervoor te vechten houden we elkaar scherp. En soms leiden deze verschillen wel tot discussies, maar ik heb er vertrouwen in dat onze democratie veerkrachtig genoeg is om ondanks deze verschillen stand te houden. Ik vertrouw ons congres, dat zij de juiste beslissingen zullen nemen en ik zal er alles aan doen om onze democratie te waarborgen.
Militaire prioriteiten politiek
Een van mijn focuspunten zal onze defensie zijn. We zullen deze maand aan de slag gaan met het in kaart brengen van potentiële gevaren van buitenaf. Ook wil ik het militaire beleid met het gebruik van egov extra stimuleren en kijken naar de mogelijkheden om ons beter te organiseren tijdens een gevecht. Een ander punt dat ik wil laten terug keren is het bondgenoot van de week programma.
Stabiliteit in de regio
Deze maand wil ik mij ook richten op de stabiliteit in de regio. We zullen contact opnemen en ambassadeurs aanstellen voor elk land dat in de buurt ligt bij ons. We zullen ook kijken naar de mogelijkheden van een alliantie en contacten met bondgenoten proberen te verbeteren.

We HAVE almost been under a real PTO. But it's years ago. Severe enough threats to act rigorously at the time. And to make sure we always are critical with immigration...
We act on our mistakes from the past. We keep track of suspicious baby booms (multies?), we blacklisted CMs ignoring the protocol and blacklisted the corresponding illegal immigrants...
Regarding the rest: yes, that indeed is related, as far as I can tell from an IRC conversation I had last night. Countries with a small constant group of people in charge ultimately find that the remainder starts to revolt, and in order to further strengthen their position they let in "random" strangers. Before you know it that evolves into a PTO...
So our diversity (also in governments) has safeguarded us from this. As have our rather strict rules...
On the other hand our diversity and rules of course leads to internal friction. Not agreeing on all topics, and consequently not getting your way is not something all CPs can cope with. I'm happy to see that you respect the authority of our congress.
