[HEX] Belgium at the foreign political scene

I'm still new here, and I was wondering about what kind offoreign relations Belgium has, and where should be it's place. I already started thread about it at the forum, and It'd be great if you could join the discussion, because that's a much better platform, but for those who don't really visit it, then talk about it a bit here.

Well, as for every small countries it's very hard to maintain a strong foreign policy, and keep effectively representing themselves, especially because the stronger countries just look at them as a burden. Despite these difficulties, it's still possible to get some friendls.

I'm interested in you opinion. If you had to chose some countries, who were/are in a good relation with eBE, and it'd worth to work on strengthening these relations, then who would you chose? Where eBE belongs?
