Join the new world

Greetings,

I don't want to rob your time, so I'll be short and I won't write novels like I usually do; this article is addressed to all Israeli citizens, from another citizen who is worrying over the current state of affairs.

As Israel lost its congress on 25 December, the only person who had to vote on laws became our President, powerful333. Any law could pass if he wants it so. In such a scenario it is the natural obligation of us, citizens, to supervise that the democratic decision-making process involving the community doesn't cease. What led to the creation of the article is the strong suspection of this cessation.

Recently, our President came forward with the plan to embargo other countries to make them unable to get funds from our factories located in their territory. Ukraine, USA, Hungary and Russia are the targets of these actions at the moment of writing. This leads to the temporary interruption of production in the aforementioned countries, possibly causing a great financial deficit for a lot of Israeli company owners. Furthermore, there is the clear risk that this decision doesn't solve but rather further worsen our already hostile relations with some countries. Therefore, we can conclude that the decision is questionable itself.

More questionable is however the way it was put forward, or, to be precise, the lack of it. Our president put forward these laws and accepted them with his absolute power without any kind of consent from the congress. Furthermore, he didn't even discuss the laws before proposingand accepting them.

From these facts, I find it a clear conclusion that the democratic nature of our current government, or to be exact, the democratic nature of our President is questionable.

As a concerned citizen, I call for two things:

First, an unofficial referendum. To remove all suspections of me being biased and manipulating the votes, voting will be done in the comments. The question is: "Do you agree with the embargo policy of powerful333?". If you agree, click vote on the "Yes" comment, otherwise on the "No" comment. Voting will be going for two days, ending on day 3697 of eRepublik.

Second,I ask our president to respect the results of this referendum and act according to them. Rest assured, this is not an unpopularity competition. You are free to correct me if you think my concerns are wrong.
