[GBM] Why I am voting Rainy Sunday

And, as always, Mood Musik.

Dear readers, it's rare I write to you from my heart. Okay, not that rare. Still, as you, loyal subscribers, should remember, I put out a piece around a week ago titled In Praise of Folly. In that piece I expressed my desire that the CP race be more interesting today than it was on the 22nd. Unfortunately, my plea went unheeded.

As Deepchill prepares to run uncontested, there seems little to look forward to on election night. Sure, DC is a good, nay, great candidate, but this was not the election I asked for.

That was, until I glanced at Aramec's paper and saw this.

Suddenly all of my prayers were answered, suddenly, through the darkness, shone light.

rainysunday4President

There is little to be said about Rainy that you don't already know. She's an enigmatic player of few words, universally respected, yet also universally adored. To put it simply, she is one of the few great players left in this game.

More than that, however, she embodies the greatness that this game used to be. She not only participated in, but exemplified the great moments in eRep history that we now reserve for hushed tones and nostalgic think-pieces. We have long asked ourselves what can we do to make this game interesting, more involved, fun, and now the answer has appeared.

That is why I support Rainy Sunday for President

We have all known Rainy has long deserved this, and yet never asked for it, content to do the important work while others claimed glory. We have all known Rainy's quick wit and incredible intelligence, and have wondered when the day would come.

This, too, is why I support Rainy Sunday for President

I have my reasons, and I'm sure you have your own. It may be seem a cliche, but it was this election that Titus Livius, ancient Roman historian and supporter of Rainy Sunday, was referring to when he wrote "It's better to do something late, than to never do it at all."

eAmericans, I end this article not simply with my Proteus Bump, an image I lost long ago, but with an appeal: for the love of god, elect Rainy Sunday President.

The candidate we need, way better than what we deserve

Faithfully yours,
Paul Proteus~
