Well hello America.
They don't care about us.
So first of all I would like to congratulate my friend Paul Proteus on losing his eVirginity....Not many can say that their first time included getting f*cked by an entire country.
Now onto the reason behind this article, simply put, our unity system is broken. We all witnessed today as a minority of votes dictated who we would support for CP. We, the people, were marginalized by the system that we put in place to protect ourselves. Whether by Ignorance or Malice, the will of the people has been subverted.
People have given some explanations as to what happened, and they may or may not be the truth. Only people who were involved will know for sure, but what we should all be taking away from this is that this system cannot stand as it is. At the moment we have a system that cannot be influenced by the popular votes of the people. Where the majority of votes does not matter, as long as the right people vote in a certain way. This is a system where The results we are presented with cannot be trusted, and the results seem to look like a 2000 presidential election.
I will not try to tell you that I have opposed Unity from the beginning, because that would be a lie. In fact, I was one of the Party Presidents who helped to design the rules for the Unity system. When the system was created, it seemed like the fairest way we could create, and I was completely in support of it.
So many months later...so many betrayals...We have seen the flaws of the system.
For these reasons, the Unity process either needs to change, or to pass away. The days of unfair votes and rigged primaries are over. Whether that takes the form of a Unity overhaul, or even running more than one candidate in CP elections, I don't know yet. As for this month, I have decided not to endorse Tenshibo. Likewise, we will not be running Paul Proteus. The Feds will not endorse a candidate this month. I am not sure what will happen next, but I assure you that the people of the United States will not have to wipe their chin and walk away one more month.
Your candidate for country presidency has resigned. Make sure you propose someone else before the elections on the 5th.

As an outside observer I'd just like to point out that the Federalist Party's motivations do not affect the legitimacy or non-legitimacy of their argument...
Perhaps not. But they do affect the acceptance with which their argument is received and the empathy granted to them as a result.

This is pretty outrageous.
The two candidates had personally agreed to the terms of the Unity Process before the election, as did the Party Presidents (which includes yourself).
Every unity election is unfair. Every single one. There is always someone that get shafted, but both parties and the PPs *knew* that before the process began this time.
What I'm reading in this article is because it was *your guy* that got screwed *this* time you aren't going to play ball and would instead like to gamble with the Country President Elections. While that's your choice to make, regardless as how you pitch it, it's still the Feds f'ing over *literally* everyone else to "make a statement."

Not endorsing a candidate is not the same as just running our guy anyway. What gamble? As always the Feds will lead the way on the ATO effort.
This isn't leading the ATO. This is stabbing the ATO effort in the back.
You signed on to the terms and conditions of service up front. Even if you just did a click through, maybe next time read more carefully?
And it's a gamble because two click voters tend to vote where their party endorsement is independent of MMer campaigns etc.
You and everyone else could predict this could happen. Where was the will or any movement to change to one person/one vote? Now finally you get gored by the ox and see the light and that is leadership ?

@Weasel - the election system has never been fair, not IRL or in eRep. The Unity Process accurately reflects the in game election system when it comes to party nominations.
Although Paul might've won the "popular" vote there are a lot of other factors to consider - like the fact that USWP turnout was abysmal and Sixth Parties are always weird.
@Fingerguns - no I mean all the PPs and their parties by virtue of their election of their current leadership.
The unity process does not reflect the game elections system Oblige. Without unity, Paul would be on the ballot right now because he won the Fed primary. From there it would go to a popular vote in game. Not even close.
@Alex - with three of the four of the legitimate party nominations the election would surely result in a victory for Tenshibo. It is only with rare exception (twice in the past several years) that trend has been reversed (with both myself and Glove).
Yeah, these are always unfair. Fortunately, there are men waiting in the wings to exploit the division. Their names are RGR and Free Area, amongst others.

This is so over-dramatic and obvious butthurt and you're a child. The process isn't the most democratic, but it is fine system for choosing presidential candidates. I'm also all for the amendments to the process. As some one who had a hand in creating the system, the system we've all dealt with for months and months, that we know all-too well, you have absolutely no right to act like a victim, and the same goes to the rest of the Feds. You guys are straight up retarded.
We're abiding by the system. We just will not abide by it any longer. You are receiving fair notice that your unfair system sucks. You're the one acting butthurt. Deal with it.
