[ESO] AwESOme Weekly Wednesday Wupdate

Day 2,808, 05:02 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by VoodooMike71

There’s no getting away from the fact that it’s Wednesday already - hump day to all of you #hardworkingpeople that our shyster beloved Tory government keep telling us about. And that can mean only one thing - time for your action-packed, fun-filled, not-at-all-made-up-at-a-moment’s-notice weekly ESO update.

And what a busy one this is; it’s been an abnormally active week in ESO (something to do with CheetahCurtis being in a bad mood apparently). So settle down, grab yourself a coffee or something stronger, and read on.

In this update…
1. Congress!
2. Forthcoming benevolent scheme!
3. Raffle!
4. Interview!
5. Story!
6. Map!
7. New faces!
8. CP election!

MCongress
After intense negotiations, late-night deals, a little back-stabbing and other politico shenanigans, our beloved leader Sir Jimmy Savile struck a deal to get a member of ESO into Congress again.

So, thanks to our chums in TUP and Karacticus in particular, your ESO congressman this month will be the irrepressible Frixios2000. Everyone is understandably delighted by this (except for Dapper, who seems a little upset - http://s29.postimg.cc/gj13qjjxj/00128.png).

Within minutes of being handed the job, Frix was on it like a car bonnet and released a poll to ESO members asking what our Congress goals should be. You can read the results in his handy bite-sized results article.

Con-grrrreat!

National Basic Income scheme!
Not content with using Congress as a vehicle to take over the world, Frix has also been busy drafting his super-benevolent this-is-why-ESO-are-the-coolest National Basic Income scheme.

We’re still hammering out the details and robbing richer members for the funding, but - in essence - this is a scheme that will provide all new players in the eUK with a bit more money to help them get by. Money for the kids to blow on snacks and weapons - what’s not to love? You can read more about the proposal in Frix’s article.

Fund-abulous!!

Raffle!
The right honourable and esteemed Max Blue - MoED and all round thoroughly decent chap - spends 90% of his time pumping out articles at a frankly alarming rate. But when he’s not doing that, he likes to spend his free time giving free stuff (usually houses) to anyone in the eUK.

For that reason, Max runs a weekly ESO raffle - usually at the end of one of his articles. This week is no different, and if you hurry there’s still time to get your tickets. So what are you waiting for?

Hu-raffle-ay!

Interview!
While you’re busy buying tickets for the ESO raffle, check out Max’s interview with Frix - who’s already had far too many mentions in this article. As you can see, ESO are getting a bit meta.

But the interviews don’t stop there; one of our newest and brightest young things - Mr Cherry - has interviewed honorary ESO member Mr Immanuel Kant. MiK is one of the most interesting people who isn’t actually in the eUK but probably should be, so the interview is well worth a read.

Chat-some!

Story!
Still with us? There’s more awESOmeness to come.

Some of you may remember Sir Jimmy Savile’s interactive book, and in last week’s article I mentioned that there’s something new coming along. Well in ESO we deliver on our promises, and so this week Sir Jimmy has published Chapter One of his new book - Tales Of ESO

Ever wondered how Jimmy, Cheetah and others were spawned born? Check Jimmy’s book to find out.

Cree-yay-tive!

Map!
We entertain. We give stuff away. We (occasionally) do some Srs Bsns. And we educate too.

It’s handy having the MoED and undisputed Best Informed Person In The eWorld in ESO, and in Max Blue we have that person.

This week, amongst other things I may have already mentioned, he’s been keeping his eye on what’s been going on in eEurope and then summarising events, in handy map form. It’s a genuinely good way of seeing what other countries are up to, who’s mates with who (this week), what’s going on etc etc, so go and have a look.

Maptastic!

New faces!
This week two members joined (or re-joined) ESO: ApronChef and Elle Roslin - ESO legend. In AC’s case, this provides a significant increase in our Party Panda Quota.

Recruitible!

CP election!
Last one.

We’re currently in the process of deciding our CP election strategy. If you’re a member of ESO and want to stand, or have any thoughts on who we should support, keep your eye on the party feed and let us know.

And if you’re not in ESO but want to try to sway our decision with bribes, blackmail or other underhand tactics - yay! Simply hand your brown envelopes to any of our incredibly professional management team.

Democrabulous!

Was that enough awESOmeness for you? Yes? Thought so.

Although this article is intended for members of ESO, who - frankly - struggle to keep up with the sheer quantity of cool stuff that’s happening, we’re aware that people from outside the party follow our every move and hang off our every word. That’s fine - it’s understandable. And because we’re an open, caring, giving party, we encourage that sort of thing - who are we to restrict access to our awESOmeness?

So these are for you. And don’t forget, you can always join us and be part of the only eUK party that’s growing*.
