Unlike irl in eRepublik there are not inflation and deterioration. You can buy a company with 10 gold today, and a month later too. That's why I don't care about interest. It's a non-profit organisation.

ok Gregus, but you could/will have looses by different cases (no payback by ban, by scam, by leaving/dead etc.) and the money can´t get invested by the credit giver itself, in the end the eGDF will have deficit. but it´s your thing, best wishes so or so : )

I agree with Otis: Interests are not so much to cover inflation, but to cover possible losses. An interest of around 10% would only be reasonable.

Also, were I eligible to a credit, I would be willing to pay back more than what I got, so that the funds of the eGDF increase and more people can receive such credits.

I'll observe how this project fares, and maybe come back in some months when I fulfill more of the conditions and plan to invest in my productions again...

@Otis: Ok, I know it. If I have risks I will lose in the future. The question is the scale of the losses. As I mentioned it, this project is an experiment, and I wish eGDF could co-operate with the state in the future. How could we co-operate? For example: the state could guarantee to recover the losses. (if the dead fund is around 5% in a month, it would be not too much. If this rate e.g. 30%, they wouldn't guarantee...) Additionally the state could raise the fund. :3:3 Do not forget, that after the income of a raw company the state get tax. (e.g.: q4 raw company - ~60DEM daily income - you buy stuffs from market - 20% VAT ~12 DEM daily income in long term) Well, I know that eGDF will be dead 1-2-3 month later, the fund will disappear slowly if we don't get donations. But we are going to show the results of the project. (After investing 35.000 DEM we will achieve +X companies, +Y daily influence, +Z tax income, +Q happy citizens, and P (less than Q) will forget their duty)
It was a conceptionally decision, that I turn away the interest. I don't want to keep this project alive at all costs. As I said it's an experiment, and my personal - secondary - goal is to change the government's mind thinking about 'Social Economy'. :3

i like your idea as consumer, but:

if the state guarantees a non interest-loan, it'll have to handle all traitors -> you give your complete risk to the state. Thats the same thing we have now in RL. ECB is buying bonds wich have nearly no worth for them... -> inflation?!

well but if you played the game for a time its a pretty bad thing to lose your face.

to gregus: maybe you should add to the conditions, that its also ok if a older person (who is well known) says that he would repay it, if the younger one leaves (if the old one knows the newbee from RL or stuff)

to losing face here is really a bad thing cause everything grounds on trust to each other, and if you´d want to go politics it will be a REALLY bad thing, the opposition doesn´t forget and it will hang you after (*rofl* know it´s BAD english) for a long time, same like having multis, perhaps even badder.

so I´ve to say it´s a nice project, the question of rate of interests is important of course, so I asked.
but right, 'in the case' that the state would join and support it could be possible to let them away, because the profit by (earlier) taxes could replace rates of interest - but am not sure, if the result for the state wouldn´t be equal because the credit taker has to save consume for paying back the credit soon.

in the case of 'private' fund I wouldn´t let the rate of interest away, the risk is just to high. on the other han😛 the trustful credit takers would pay back so or so and are just paying more for the loosing by scammers, but I think it has to be like this cause the wellfary credit giver can´t be the big looser in the system, he 'has' to guarantee credits in future, too. (and otherwise it would be dead capital for himself)

see how Sphorax is happy about interest-free credits, it´s a sign 😁 them are quite rare ; )

well, in PuLSeD we had a similar system, the WiKo, atm frozen, but until now your system looks good and interesting, also nice sheet (similar to ours which is forum-based)
