For a while now, you've all heard about 'Resource Wars'. It's basically Captain Plato removing all the resource plot points and everyone in eRep has to fight for them. All of them

The bigger countries basically get first dibs since they typically have the biggest and strongest hard hitters in eRep. Like us (eUS) we're well ahead of schedule and that's a great thing.

You get that sense of pride. ‘Wahoo, I got 5/5 of thing A and 5/5 of thing B”

Cool. Great. But, If you thought Politics is filled with bickering and monopolizing one another, boy, you are going to have fun fighting for resources.

You get a new opportunity to fight for something you might have not have had in the past. You also can lose what you have always needed. I also find the war very annoying because sometimes you need group coordination. What I mean by is sometimes you have 5 people in a group you would like to fight over at location A. However, one of those five people will fiddle fart around and do his own thing.

I mean yeah, you can't control what people do or say but in an overall sense of matter, as a private citizen and a member of Congress, I feel like it's the very American thing to do is fight for my country and try and get as many resources as we need. But, do we really need 5/5? I'm talking in a general sense, not personal.

I can’t speak for everyone but it's rather annoying sometimes. In national security, i feel like everything should be communicated privately thru PM’s for MU’s to know where we need to fight. Not out in the open on the national feed or Discord rooms where other countries can ‘know’ out in the open.

But, I also do like it. I am always well informed where I need to fight. I love being informed in all forms of communication. I get the sense of pride that I get the opportunity to maximize my factory's usefulness and sell my goods below market value (side note; I do this anyways. I don’t hire people and I work at my own factories to keep the costs low and pass on the savings. Plus it's too much work for me to watch the wage market and trends.)

I wouldn't mind having 5/5 resources on food and weapons. I also wouldn't mind having 4/5 or 3/5. It wouldn't kill me as I work my own factories and I turn around and make about 5-8 gold a day. At the end of the day, I'm ok. On a national level, I want everyone to be able to maximize their resources and that's ok.

With that being said, I hope you find yourself this evening or morning and try to figure out the best course of action of where you can best use your pair of hands in the resource wars. It's a huge group effort and I'm excited about what is happening in the next few days.
