[DMV3] My Farewell Address

Day 2,419, 20:32 Published in Canada Canada by DMV3

Over the past couple of months we have seen a lot of action out of this government, and while I wish I could take credit for it, it has mostly been due to the hard work of others that we have been successful. My cabinet has been superb, and I would like to thank them for making my terms as CP a success. There are a few people I will be thanking personally, but before I do I would like to discuss some issues I believe we as a nation must address moving forward.

We have become an influential player in the area of foreign affairs, and we must remain focused on this. During my terms I have kept our MPP stack small due to budget issues, but I believe we must build a larger MPP stack in order to remain influential going forward. We have spent most of the past month being ask for MPPs from friendly nations and having to turn them down because of the issue of funding. I would recommend that future governments budget in at least 15-20 MPPs per month, as the demand for a Canadian MPP has increased drastically. There are people who believe this would be a waste due to the amount of damage some of our smaller allies produce, but this argument is the wrong argument for eCanada. We must be prepared to help our smaller allies, just as our larger allies have been there to help us. Foreign Affairs is about relationships, but most importantly it is about coming through for your friends when they need you.

In eRepublik, the military unit is the lifeblood of any nation. In eCanada we have had wonderful military units both past and present, but at the current point in time they are in much need of investment in terms of infrastructure. Our nation lacks the infrastructure necessary for future military growth and investment into that infrastructure is critical to future growth and military effectiveness. Military efficiency comes from investing in all divisions and providing long-term growth in the way of damage. As a nation and individuals we must make this a priority in order to strengthen our nation and our community. Guns N Buns is a great program that helps new players and encourages them to get and stay active, but we must work on rebuilding our MUs and building the infrastructure necessary to ensure we remain effective militarily as a nation. This means we, as individuals and as a nation, must do our part to rebuild and maintain our MUs. Sacrifices must be made, and are necessary to ensure we thrive as nation. It is my hope that future administrations focus on this critical issue, as it is probably the single most important domestic issue facing us, as a nation.

Political discourse is the final issue I believe we must address as a nation moving forward. A strong unified opposition is necessary to ensure we do not become politically stagnant. This is why whenever I have been outside of the current government I have done my best to try to unify the opposition and oppose the government on issues instead of personality. Personal attacks are the worst thing we can do to one another as a community, so we must have an opposition that is focused on the issues. We’re all here for the good of eCanada, but we must be focused as parties on different ways of accomplishing these things for eCanada. This is why I have created the eCanadian Reich, so as to give my opposition a means to oppose my government. It is my hope that our new President continues with my vision for a new eCanada, united by nationalism and military strength.

I would now like to take the time to thank those who have made the last two terms what they have been.

Klop123: You have made this government look wonderful when it comes to Foreign Affairs and my terms would have suffered without your help. I hope that without you leading Foreign Affairs eCanada can still hold up the high standards you have set.

I-Bleed-Blue-93: Thank you for taking up the challenge we set for you in helping to guide LETO, you have been a great asset to my administration.

Exalted Drui😛 Without your help with RWs we would still be occupied, you really helped strengthen our military prowess these last two months. I’m glad to see you taking the lead in Defense, eCanada will be well served.

Punisher 1389: I would like to thank you for your help coordinating damage and setting eCanadian orders. You made sure our people were hitting in the right place and help us win some very close battles when necessary.

Goran Thrax: Thank you for your help with the forums, and I would especially like to thank you for all the support I have received from you since coming here. You’re a great friend and an asset to the eCanadian community.

Homer J Simpson: First off, I would even be in eCanada without you and for that I would like to thank you for helping me find my home. Your work on the new forums is amazing, and I would like to thank you for all your hard work and dedication to ensure our community survives.

Crisfire: Your work with Guns N Buns is inspiring and have helped us ensure that our community will grow and thrive in the future. Thank you for your hard work and your organizational skills are admirable.

TheSmoke: As always you have been a great help with the community and we are grateful to have you around.

Bruce Lightninghands: Congrats on your election as President, you will make me look like a genius for selecting you as my heir apparent. Keep up what you’re good at, media and activity. As long as you focus on that and listen to the people around you you’ll make an amazing President and I’m glad I could help you in that task. You have made the last couple of months more exciting and active for eCanada. I look forward to seeing what you can do this term.

eCanada: Thank you all for your support, and I look forward to what we can do together as a nation moving forward. Long Live the eCanadian Reich!

Godspeed and Good Luck!
