WookyJack approached me about becoming XO. He must have seen an opportunity at the time and offered me the job even after hardly knowing me.
When I arrived, and after I got “the last suit you’ll ever wear”, I met with the current XO Kevin Sheridan. We talked for a bit to get acquainted and then the conversation turned a little. Kevin gave me the “it’s great you’re here” but what do you have to offer talk. I don’t blame him. Here I was, a stranger, walking in to his MU, off the street, and I am given a Star. Not a promotion from within, an outsider. Walking in the door and the first thing they do is give me a Star? I told him of my ideas. The first was to sort through the Regiments, make them strong and promote Regiment Captains.
The 2nd was to give these RC’s the opportunity to name their Regiment and get to know the Soldiers under their Command.
The third was to put these new Regiments in competition against each other in our own Tournament. Prizes were determined and the RC’s were told of what was expected.
I felt doing this would promote activity by making people feel included, and giving them something to do. At least that is my theory.
Sure, clicking FIGHT in a battle is great, and Plato might give you something if you click enough times, but that is normally where it ends.
I wanted to take it further and give additional rewards and publicize the results to tell everyone what we are doing.
All of this has a purpose: Recruitment and Retention within the Unit.
Within hours, Kevin had the Regiments reorganized and all of them were given a Leader.

Then Kevin told me that we needed X amount of people and we could add another Regiment. (Honestly I just don’t remember the exact number)
So I set out to recruiting.
We now have that additional Regiment and have had it for some time. It has provided another S.H.I.E.L.D. soldier a promotion and the opportunity to lead.

I don’t really like the spotlight and find it difficult to talk about myself or what i have done. I guess if you want something bad enough, you swallow your fears and step up.
I hate to “toot my own horn” but I was told that if you want something bad enough you put that feeling behind you and blow that horn. At least they tell me that is how Politics works.

VICE PP and S.H.I.E.L.D. CO
I chose Nick because he is a true leader. As my Boss in S.H.I.E.L.D. he shows every day that he lives by the credo Unit before Self. He gives of himself undyingly and will do well to lead, should I not be fit for duty. He will also provide invaluable counsel should I begin to have difficulty.


MEDIA
Controversial? Yes. But a heck of a Media Man. That is unequivocal. Just the man I need to help me with getting the message out. Jude has been at this game for a while. We are lucky to have him. And while he is here, I want him to get accustomed to how things work here. Fed destiny may call one day for Jude and I want him to be ready. He has been steadfast and reliable as QuarterMaster General in S.H.I.E.L.D. When put on task he takes the job seriously and contributes.


RECRUITMENT
There is so much to be said for Wooky. He takes recruitment to the MAX. He even ventured out, went to a foreign country and tried to spread the Federalist message through the implementation of S.T.R.I.K.E. Now the thing that everybody didn’t know, they were completely nuts. There are not many people around that can say bad things about Wooky. And if they try, they will have to deal with me first.


CHIEF OF STAFF
Scott is a workaholic. If you don’t believe it, look at the number of times he has won the Most Workaholic Fed Award. He runs the website, handles most of the Graphics duties. Creates graphics for nearly EVERYONE that asks, and still finds time to complete his Media jobs. My idea of asking Scott to be CoS is two fold. Number one, he really needs a break from Media. This is something I want to have happen. I want him to channel his energy to really help get our Party running at peak efficiency. Scott will be tasked with making sure the Department Directors have everything they need to be successful.


RETENTION
Orifricai is another shining star in the SHIELD system. H.A.M.M.E.R. Assistant Director, MEPS Director and Regiment Captain of The Thundering 3rd Ranger Regiment. This guy is going places and I want to give him the opportunity to do the same within the Party. Keep your eyes on Orikfricai.


FEDEX DIRECTOR
A new up and comer within the Fed system, Avex. I can spot talent and this guy has it. I offered him a job to get his foot in the door. He can see how the Party runs from the inside, and then LOOK OUT! He will probably be after your job next!


FBI DIRECTOR
Tyler is the quintessential FBI man. He has run Homeland Security and has protected this Nation from it’s major threats. Who better to make sure the #1 Party in the US stays secure. He will also be available to make sure I don’t drive the wheels off of it.


FUN DEPARTMENT
Imagine my surprise when talking to Artela about my plans for running for PP and would she be interested in helping me. She not only said yes but shocked me further when she told me she was interested in being Director of Fun. A former POTUS is telling me she has several ideas and can really whip the Fun Dept into shape. Of course, I signed her up before she changed her mind (or came to).


POLITICAL DIRECTOR
Kevin Sheridan is my immediate supervisor in S.H.I.E.L.D. He took nearly every one of my ideas and helped to make it happen. We (the Command Officers) have built S.H.I.E.L.D. up and given it a rock solid foundation. We increased membership enough so that we were able to add an additional regiment. We have implemented our own Mini Tournaments and have given more opportunity to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Soldiers through promotions and inclusion in the day to day operations. Coming off a stint as Secretary of State, Kevin has the INTEGRITY required to serve as PD. There is that, and the fact that every so often (as I start to take things too seriously) he has to tell me “so what, it’s just a game”.
