[CPF] The Torch is Passed ('cause saying the Moose is Passed sounds wrong)

Day 1,819, 18:13 Published in Canada Canada by Randall Flagg 1999

Sadly Auk is sick, so he has asked if I am up to write the article with the results of the CPF primary. Usually I would prefer not tooting my own horn, but since he is sick....

I WON!

Ya, that’s about the size of my ego right there.... The link below goes to the page with the breakdown of the votes.

We had 36 votes cast with one invalidated (don’t know why so don’t ask 😛). Not the highest turn out, but not bad either when one considers that 35 people is considered a small party here in eCanada. I hope to improve that number by the end of my term.

The final result was 20 in my favour meaning 57%. Auk pulled in the majority of the other votes (no surprise there) but with his plan of backing away from leadership for now that is not surprising. What is surprising was the low number for Jaffle. He ran a good campaign and I liked his ideas and
style.

The other few votes were spread among the other candidates who are showed as running in game, but never actually announced their candidacy or campaigned.
Now, for you conspiracy nuts, here is the conversation Auk and I just had in regards to this article. He did ask me 😛

That said, as is tradition, I ask those people still “running” to remove their candidacy. The active party has spoken. I don’t want to be to “heavy” here but, the primaries are to ward off political take-overs and as such those still running come Election Day could be considered just such a threat.

But for now I leave you with some fun for the evening:

(and yes, this is what I think mostly goes on inside the heads of the coalition XD )
