Fellow citizens of eIndia,

A time of change is upon us - I am the harbinger of times to come. We must push ourselves - this is the time for us to reassert control over our destiny, to find ourselves in a position of strength and to be the players we want to be. To be looked up to in the eWorld as a nation that is not a follower - but a leader.



But these are all empty words and platitudes without action. And let me tell you what I have in mind, and who is going to be driving the change in our eNation.

1. FINANCE

Issues -
1. Long term sustainability of programs;
2. Self sustenance;

As highlighted earlier, we currently face the problem of dealing with having a dispatch program that costs more than we make. Our first priority is setting up a system that allows us to make this program sustainable, and also leaves over enough resources for other expenses - including (but not limited to) incentives, support for n00bs, expenses in the case of wars, and who knows? An airstrike fund, perhaps?

We're helped by the deal made earlier - all objections and problems that some have with the deal made with eCroatia, it's done - our focus should be to move ahead and make the best of it. I personally was in favour of it, because the currency involved would help set up a factory or a system to make this possible.

Obviously, there are some limitations - most of all, setting up a company and gathering and transferring gold in the full amount required. But we have a competent Finance team ready to take on these challenges.

Rebelash shall be the Minister of Finance, and deadley21 and guessit shall be vice Ministers of Finance. The goal shall be to make a plan to make us a prosperous, self sustaining economy - while trying, as far as possible, to balance this goal for the future with the needs of the present, such as dispatches and incentives. The immediate plan is for them to take an audit of our financial situation and make our position clear.

2. DEFENCE

Issues -
1. Integration of 'Internal Affairs' with MoD
2. Dispatch from MoD end
3. New MU

For this month, the most stark change will be that retention will come under the Minister of Defence. The Indian Armed Forces MU shall be repossessed to become a new MU only for n00bs - xordin shall be in charge of this program, and shall pick his deputies.

Forter shall be the Minister of Defence, and arminder shall be vice Minister of Defence. The main priorities for this month shall be consolidation and organising our soldiers and warriors - we expect much needed reform in the dispatch system to also be undertaken, once the MoF has determined what resources can be brought to bear for that purpose.

3. FOREIGN AFFAIRS
Issues -
1. EDEN relations
2. The Croatia deal
3. Regional issues

Samnomix is the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. Our first order of business in this regard is determining our future role in EDEN. Given the recent turmoil and our many months of dilly-dallying, I hope that in the coming month we shall determine our future in this alliance once and for all. Samnomix will be working with EDEN to figure out the pros and cons for joining EDEN or staying in the Garden of EDEN alliance, and we shall take a vote amongst our other eIndian brothers to determine this.

The deal with Croatia has led to 5 of our original regions being taken over by them for a rent amount that is currently pegged at 100,000 CC per month. However, there is still some negotiation about the costs to be borne for the MPPs lost due to the NE proposal we had to approve to enable them to take the region. That said, the deal shall be concluded in the next few days.

The Croatian presence in the region shall mean our near absolute security. This also means we shall have little role to play in starting (or finishing) a battle in the near future. However, this is a tricky position to be in, and we shall keep you updated as to the situation as things come along.
