Fellow citizens!
What an incredible and exciting 30-hour long campaign it has been. The self-proclaimed invincible Germans have been defeated and our country is free once again and will remain free. It all started with the unexpected and treacherous attack of our (back then) ally Germany on our country. Overrun by an attack which put entire alliances both Germany and The Netherlands upheld at risk, our enemies claimed to be ''invincible'' and completely ignored any diplomatic gestures or negotiations made by our noble country, claiming there was no value in diplomacy when they could keep us down without any effort. But they were wrong! The eNetherlands are tired of foreign occupation and backstabbing and will never allow it to happen again without putting up fierce and costly resistance!
While Germany had disappointed the entire region by breaking the excellent relations the NSPP (Germark, Belgium, The Netherlands and The United Kingdom) countries had with each other, they insisted on fighting their petty war over the Northern Netherlands, while their billions of damage and tens of thousands of finances never saw their use in more mattering battles like the ones in Belgium. And they bet on the wrong horse. We've given our all, and we've shown what we're worth. I've seen numerous Dutch show incredible and almost unbelievable efforts against the German oppression and I'd like to thank them all and want the world to see them.
The people of the Netherlands have been liberated from the German yoke and are celebrating rightly so.
What to think of Trannsvaal, who ensured total Division 2 domination for the Netherlands day and night during the entire campaign? Or Epix, who dropped half a billion worth of damage in the middle of the night when the battle looked most desperate? Or DAF Commander Weekstrom, who solely kept numerous of tanks and 35cc/million Combat Orders at Div. 4 at bay by dropping a staggering 1,4 billion damage in a single round? And so many more amazing tales can be recounted. All Dutch have shown to be heroes and deserve to be praised appropriately!
But we didn't do this alone. We enjoyed the broad support of almost the entire world. Nebula with their Combat Orders and priorities, the Serbs & Australians with their Combat Orders, the numerous Portuguese, Canadian, Belgian, British, Hungarian, Americans, Norwegians and many more nationalities deserve a BIG shout-out and are thanked for their incredible support in fighting for Dutch freedom. We salute you and won't forget the favours that have been shown towards us. We'll be there where you are in your darkest hour - just like we were!
The Dutch will stand!

By the way: I liked round 8 better. I did only 500 mil that round but managed to secure a very tight victory where round 13 you refer to was lost in the end. But it was fun doing and seeing the amount of opposition/CO needed to cope with it 😃

Note that the Germans did respond to diplomacy, but they only wanted treaties that were clearly unacceptable to us.
So we just continued the war. And ultimately ended up winning this RW after 17 rounds. What we've demonstrated is our ability to succeed at a marathon...
Not a RW that is won in the first 3 rounds, but one that lasts for more than a day, which we win thanks to our (and our allies) fitness.
Thanks to all those who were so important in winning this campaign. I was especially impressed by Weekstrom who managed to compensate for all the German COs, costing them enough money to make them basically give up... Even if we didn't win that round, I do believe it was one of the most important steps to victory.

I can even understand that feeling as indeed there have been a lot of unwise or populistic reactions. However thats rather normal in cases like this. Thing is most people don't realize to the full extend that everything they state can be understand by almost all players due to the use of English as main language. And for us naturally most of us understand your language while a lot of German players will understand ours. Which makes it even more easy to escalate.
I for one am glad we are done and hope we can leave it behind.
There are two untruths in the article. The first one is the so called "excellent relations the NSPP". Where were they all the time? I didn't notice any kind of relations, unfortunately.
The second thing is "foreign occupation (...), backstabbing [and] German oppression". We didn't backstab you, because we weren't allies. Also we didn't occupy and oppress you, because the whole issue lasted just a few days. Don't overstate it. Plus Germany and The Netherlands share roughly equal strength.
NSPP was mainly in the head of a few politicians that wanted to show they could achieve something. Never took off/got out of diapers if you ask me. Most likely due to unevenly balanced powers resulting in disappointing support from the small countries for the bigger ones and expectations being to high from the small ones when it comes to the amount of aid from the bigger ones.
As for backstabbing; Politically speaking it is indeed due to the so called alliance albeit the communicated reason was different and (imo) a overreaction.
If you look at country rating we're almost the same atm indeed due to Germany being occupied. Given the active population and average age however tells a rather different, imo more relevant, story resulting in eGermany being about 3 times the strength of eNetherlands.
Roughly equal strength? No. lol xD
The 3x Weekstrom mentions is also reflected in the weekly leaderboards of last week, both for damage and for number of kills. So I think it's quite a good approximation.
Regarding NSPP: we still had a few joint strikes with the UK recently. So I wouldn't exactly have called it dead before Germany got out. We also defended Belgium based amongst others on the NSPP. In eNL it definitely still was alive, and as a consquence you stepping out of the NSPP and immediately attacking us definitely felt like backstabbing.

Don't worry about AS on eBelgium, they need one airport to go in europe right? That is nothing with NSPP.
I did of course worry about that. But it was unwinnable without millions of CO money. That is the harsh truth.
When there were the RWs against Japan we supported Belgium even though we already started our war with NL.
NSPP is indeed a term that is easily been thrown around, I admit. However, I must admit that the differences between the British and German attitude towards cooperation was as troublesome as the Belgian and Dutch attitude was. I don't see why one would call it UK + Germany working together. In fact the differences between Germany and the UK were an important reason why it failed to become anything serious. Germany was concerned about having an actual pact with responsibilities, because it would interfere for reasons unknown with their Aurora allegiance.
There were times where it was closer, though, in times of convenience. During some campaigns in Scandinavia, the NSPP were actively cooperating with each other. In any case, the relations between the different NSPP countries were from enemies and far from neutrals, but friendly/allied indeed, despite the relatively loose NSPP pact.
May I remind you that all the ''neglects'' of the NSPP from our side only happened after Germany attacked us, which essentially made it void for better or worse? I don't think you can blame a country to seek alternatives when you have forced them yourselves to run away from your side.. I'm sure any responsible leader would have done the same in the current circumstances.
And indeed the battle in North NL was a top-notch one. We surely made it difficult for each other.

I can't talk about Aurora times because I didn't play back then. But I can talk about the recent times were I didn't notice any considerable support by you guys. So yeah in my eyes there already has been neglect before that.
Looking for alternatives is alright. But allying with the one alliance that over and over attacked my "oh so important" allies seems more than questionable.
I mean everyone knows you mostly did this because some people in your country are closely linked with van Spick and not because there were no other alternatives.
Sry I still think all this talk about NSPP is just bullshit. The UK will get attacked by Argentina, but NL rather signs MPPs with Australia who AS Denmark. Once again the so important NSPP treaty has been broken by you, but no one cares. Only when we left it and attacked you the NSPP was suddenly important and everyone had "excellent relations".
Moreover your support of Nebula that just did 2 airstrikes this month into Belgium is even more questionable. How can you seriously claim that the NSPP still exists/existed and call yourselves "allies" if you do not care at all about all of this.

you can think what you want, i can understand you have not a lot of activities in one alliance, we are free to go on our personal way. But it's a game. We must respect your choice, your arguments, but you need to respect other countries too, big ones or little ones. I see you have battles with ePoland, ok (we had a tW with them in the past, yes our little country), and eArgentina is soon near your country, you know it.
For your information : it's the 4th AS on belgium since few months 🙂
