Greetings Citizens of the eNetherlands, due to some overlooked social occasions I must present you this article a bit late in the eDay and instead of two separate articles, it shall be this very large article.
The Month that was
Over the course of the last month as your Country President, we did the best we could with what we have, and within the realm of what we can control. It may not have always been pretty, and not everyone will agree with the results, but alas you can't please everyone and to try would amount to insanity. Some will complain our alliance status hasn't changed, but that is more than just our government, alliances are comprised of several countries each with a government of there own, and they tend to be chaotic at least in my opinion.
MoD summary:

Several efficiency improvements have been achieved this month. First of all, communication with and between the different Military Units have been improved, which means government-supported priorities are more followed upon by the Units and therefore the citizens. Also, for our most involved fighters, there has been coverage the whole month for specific high prioritized battles in the Battle Orders articles. Progress on the future of the communes is still continuing, as currently gold is being transferred to the desired commune holders. This process will take a while due to the gold transfer limit of 10 gold each day.

Several candidates have been approached to work in an elite US Commune/MU in cooperation with Dutch expat Garmr, which will proceed soon [only interrupted by the sudden announced National Tournament in June]. The Ministry of Defense has been especially active during the National Tournament and set-up the official Dutch Military Unit - Dutch Armed Forces/DAG - as the main unit during the tournament, in order to have as many Dutch citizens profit from the rewards as possible. This was a great success, both in material and social aspects. The Ministry of Defense lastly also wanted to thank Rockefeller Foundation, who supplied hundreds of tanks and thousands of health points during the tournament. The Semi Finals & Finals
Due to time constraints the Semi Final Matches and Finals Matches shall happen in succession, tonight a winner of Cabinet Mortal Kombat will be decided for all to see, and sometime tomorrow I'll hand out prizes.


The first fight of the Semi finals begins with Odan entering the ring, dressed in Redneck squirrel hunting style, vs the squirrely lancer. The match itself would start off with Odan chasing lancer around the ring like a drunk person chasing a greased up pig trying to earn a prize. After several minutes of this, lancer would deploy a dirty tactic, by flinging unmentionable body fluids at Odan, along with dirty pictures that eventually seemed to distract Odan from his main target. Once Odan was thoroughly distracted by the naughty pictures, squirrely lancer ran up Odans pant leg deploying a pouch full of mini squirrel grenades, before fleeing the pants as Odans nuts were destroyed, leaving him to bleed to death in a pile of squirrely fluid and naughty pictures.


The second match of the semi finals set Arcanic Mindje up against Tim Veltkamp, the pancake man arcy charged with his pancake pan in hand in the air screaming "for the fluffy cakes!" as he closed in on Tim, the star trek cuddly bear slid under Arcys legs, before jumping on the pancake mans back, climbing up his enemies shirt and began to punch Arcy in the back of the head, this assault went on for nearly 2 minutes before Arcy managed to throw Tim off. After this Arcy charged again, swinging his frying pan a bit lower, landing a few good hits on Tim, before the crafty bear managed to once again get on Arcy, only this time instead of punching him, Tim began to eat his challenger, right up until there was nothing left but a t-shirt, chef hat and a discarded frying pan.
Intermission
During the break between the Semi Finals and the Final fight between Tim and lancer, the judges Schoft, Grefred, Daniel Parker and rainysunday decided to award Odan the third place position, simply because his body could still be found.


After the intermission period wrapped up, Tim the cuddly star trek bear and the squirrel lancer returned to the ring for the final fight of the Mortal Kombat tournament. For the final match, neither cabinet fighter was allowed a weapon, so the fight began with both charging the other as paws met claws and a combination of blood, stuffing, and fur flew everywhere. As the fight went on squirrely lancer began to foam at the mouth, and started to add biting to his fighting tactics, to which Tim deployed a risky counter move that involved allowing lancer to sink his teeth into one of his arms, before Tim brought the other one around the squirrels head, and then with both of his carebear arms smothered the squirrel lancer until his body went limp. After this Tim tossed lancer aside, stood in the middle of the ring and screamed "VICTORY!"
