[CP] Resume and North Sea Protection Pact
Bundeskanzleramt
Hello eGermany
My first term as CP of this country comes to a close today, time for a resume.
For Germany this was a relatively quiet month, where the main diplomatic struggles where elsewhere. We got through the Determination reset with Poland pretty cleanly after we finished the last steps of the liberation of the UK.
And whilst AURORA proved to be stable, even after the short hiccups in beginning. Same cannot be said about every alliance, as we saw Sirius shrinking and shifting. It will be important how Germany (and AURORA) will deal with this new situation with all its possibilities and dangers. This poses a challenge for the next CP that i am hopeful he can master.
Regarding interior politics i have to admit that i did not live up to the expectations and aims i set for myself. I did not manage to produce/help produce a significant amount of community relevant projects as i hoped for.
Regarding those though: I hope you will all participate in the World Cup Competition proposed by NeueN.
And now on to recent developments regarding Germark.
I am very pleased to inform you that the NSPP-’North Sea Protection Pact’ has just been signed by all member nations after being approved by each congress and will be active from this day change on. The NSPP is a defensive Partnership between the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK and Germark, (treaty text below).
In conjunction with this, the NAP with Asgard has ended, as no side asked for an extension of the NAP.
I hereby leave you to be governed by who ever you see fit to elect today.
signing out.

North Sea Protection Pact - N$PP
Pact between
The United Kingdom, Belgium, Germarkian Union and Netherlands
Article I: Preamble
Recognising that the countries of the United Kingdom, Belgium, The Germarkian Union (Germany and Denmark) as well as the Netherlands have been bound in mutual friendship for a long time by now, so with the following articles we seek to foster greater cooperation as well as to deepen our longstanding bonds.
Emphasising that close cooperation and continuing good relations between our countries builds a great foundation for coordinated efforts and thus ensuring the future sustained regional integrity of each member Nation.
Article II: Terms of Agreement
There will be no direct and/or indirect aggression between the signing states. There shall be no Natural Enemy (NE), Air Strike (AS) or Declaration of War (DoW) proposed on each other. If there happens to be a Natural Enemy, Air Strike or Declaration of War proposal by any congressman in each country, it should be voted down
1. If it happens to pass, it will be violating the treaty, and the country will be removed from the pact.
2. The only exception to this clause is if the NE, AS or DoW is requested by the target nation. For example: the occupation of a region/nation in order to protect it from outer aggression (closing wars etc.)
Article III: (Expanded) Terms of Agreement
1. In the event that a member Country is attacked, MPPs between the attacked member and the other signers must be proposed immediately. If a member cannot afford an MPP it must be announced to the other members immediately for extra support or help with cost
2. A country that holds a border with the aggressor is encouraged but not enforced to declare it as a NE and thereby open a war with the attacking nation.
3. If a member country is attacked all other member countries should have state military units set priorities and have the government organize fighting to aid the member
4. The only exception to this Article is the procedure of region-swaps, rentals and occupations that have previously been agreed upon in a contract.
Article IV: Joint Strike
The participating Countries hereby agree to hold a Joint Strike at least once a month (each presidential term) to strengthen the coordination between the countries as well as the military power of the pact. The Joint Strike has the option to be supplied, and will take place in #NSPP.Strike , the official strike channel of the pact
Article V: Communications
Two official channels will be set up for the purposes of communication, as stated in Article IV, the channel #NSPP.Strike , will be used for joint strikes. Additionally the channel #NSPP will be used for coordination and meetings involving the pact as well as day to day communications. Trusted members of each country and the pact will be given control over the channel and maintain control from term to term.
The Pact has the option of electing a Chairman of the NSPP to oversee communications, Amendments and a variety of other tasks.
Article VI: Amendments and renewal
1. The treaty shall be renewed automatically each month unless a member country chooses to exit, which must be announced to the other members before leaving.
2. The treaty may be rewritten once a member nation requests for a rewrite and after a vote has been held to begin the process of rewriting the treaty. In the case that a rewriting of the pact is requested, the old contract will stay active till the process of rewriting is completed, but it may not take longer than 3 days.
3. In case more than 3 days pass before the Countries can agree on a new wording, the treaty will be treated as inactive but will resume effect once a rewritten version is agreed upon.
Article VII: Violation of the Treaty
In case a member violates the terms of agreement (Article II, Article III), said member shall be removed from the pact and they shall no longer benefit from the treaty.

Hallo eDeutschland

The NSPP is an awesome development for us, i think.
Can we get France in there, too? 😒
would not expect that anytime soon looking at the alliance situation

Nice one
Useless countries unite \o/
Seems a bit like a copy of Asgard, but I'm ok with it 😶
maybe 5 useless countrys makes 1 usefull 😁
No, it will be far from useful. 2 of the countries are in a state of dysfunction. eBE is being PTO by Croats and some Serbians. They voted in a Croat guy who is a puppet to the delusional van Spjick now known as M. de Ruyter. While most of the old leaders left eBE, there are more and more disunity between the commie PTO and the Croat/ Serbian element. In the end, eBE in all accounts is PTOed already albeit it a disorganized and a non-united PTO of anti-establishment groups that seeks power for themselves.
eUK while we are good friends with them and produced some of the finest players in the game, they too face a huge PTO problem in the form of New Era and the Vendetta party. Like in the case of eBE, these radical groups mainly comprised of Serbia and a few pathetic Brits that seeks power, are willing to PTO eUK to obtain domination. While TUP party is doing a lot to combat the PTO among with other active citizens are combating them, I do not see a national will to combat them. The PTOers are well resourced, spread lies, buy votes and really manipulate the media-scape of eUK. eUK is at a point in which dialogue is no longer an option as the PTOers have a strong enough presence in which they do not feel they need to talk.
Only eNL is at a decent state at this time since van Spjick was more or less left on a self exile to Norway in shame. The radical and delusional party of GPN is not as it was before in which the old establishment is able to comeback and form a real democratic unity government instead of just GPN and van Spjick dominance. Only eUK is politically stable and functioning at this time. But yet, they are weak and cannot do much.
OMG-87 is correct, this is a useless alliance. This is more of a symbolic gesture than that of a practical one. Germany needs to focus elsewhere for real effective and lasting security as NSPP does not offer anything of use to eGermark at this time.

Maybe it becomes useful with time.
For me an alliance with real bonds and friendships is more valuable than Alliances of superpowers, where they mostly just care about there own interessts.
Tho' eGermark needs protection of course.
To me this sounds more like the strasbourg treaty than an actual alliance that is meant to stand on its own which is where it differs from asgard. even though some of the states may contribute little more than making the list of member states look longer thus making it sound more 'impressive'. adding them may be a tribute to general principles rather than actual value even though some have spoken out against this. with respect to the question of 'what is the worth of survival if it is merely for its own sake?' I'd be okay with that. Then again I'm just a little duck and I known little of politics.
yes and 5cats make 1tiger...
Thanks for your good work. o7
"Trusted members of each country and the pact will be given control over the channel and maintain control from term to term."
hm so funktioniert Politik
