Intro
Welcome Citizens of the Netherlands and outside viewers to Round One of the Cody Caine I Cabinet Mortal Kombat Tournament! Order your snacks, take your seats and get ready for the blood bath!


Match one begins when Walhallah enters the ring, slams his staff down and proclaims no one shall pass, before tossing his staff aside in favor of an orange Holland bat. Odan enters next after pointing his own bat at Walhallah and proclaiming the old man is going down. The match begins slowly with several minutes of both men talking trash about the other ones bat skills, before Walhallah charges screaming for HOLLAND, bringing his bat down toward Odan's head who uses his own bat to block, before counter attacking with a shin kick, followed up by hitting Walhallah in the left side with his bat. The two then begin several minutes of exchanging bat blows without an end in sight, that is until Odan delivers a below the belt hit, before smashing Walhallah down with a finisher bat smash, claiming victory in the name of Home Affairs!


Match two begins when drunken Legendardisch stampers into the ring, still enjoying a month long victory party worth of booze and wine, he does a little dance before belching loudly. After this Lord Jale enters complaining that he should be able to have his dog aide him in the fight. From here both men run forward at the other Legendardischs arms swinging wildy as he suddenly dove down at Lord Jales legs, causing Jale to land face first, as a very drunken Legendardisch got up and sat on his back and began to smack the back of Jales head like a drum. This would continue until Lord Jale would manage to stab Legendardisch in the leg with a hidden knife, which caused the drunken made to jump up and stumble around cussing madly at Jale, before pulling a bottle out of a secret coat pocket, downing the beverage before smashing it and using the broken bottle as a weapon, he'd once again lunge at Jale, stabbing the man repeatably bar fight style until both men were covered in blood, leaving Legendardisch the victor to wander off to another advisers party.


Match three begins with Athena the great arriving in a flash of light, to find GEN. DE LA REY sitting on a wicker bench waiting for her, from here the Sports and recreation minister would begin the fight with a barrage of footballs kicked toward Athena a strategy that at first seemed to be paying off, that was until Athena threw her spear which would impale and kill GEN. DE LA REY rather quickly much to the dismay of the crowd.


In what amounts to the biggest size discrepancy of the tourament the Squirrel vice president takes on his nutty assistant the Mountain Man Garmr. Both fighters were naturally fashionably late for the fights start time, and both tripping out of their skulls. The fight itself starts out with Garmr dumping a bag of mixed nuts on the ground, and as he suspected lancer takes the bait running over to chow down, but as Garmr goes to stomp the little squirrel to death, he is caught off guard when the squirrel pulls out a knight and stabs the giant in the foot before running up his pants leg, biting and stabbing all the way up. From here Garmr attempts to punch the squirrel through his pants but mostly ends up punching himself, before lancer emerges from his pants at the waste stabbing him in the belly, to which Garmr again trys to punch the squirrel only to end up punching himself in the stomach, as the squirrely lancer again dodges. With Garmr toppled over in pain from the force of his own punch, the squirrely lancer climbs up to Garmrs head and shoves his knife in the giant mans ear twisting it around until Garmr succumbs to the attack. Leaving Lancer as the winner in the VP battle!


Match Five put the Minister of Foreign Affairs Willem the Conqueror against Minster of Defence Tonie, in what might end up as the shortest match of the tournament Willem refused to actually fight, as Tonie quickly beheaded him before beginning a wild ice cream party.


Match Six began straight away after match five with much of the ring still covered in ice cream, Arcanic Mindje engaged Maarten in a slippery wrestling match, that went on for several minutes until the two separated, Maarten becoming distracted by an alliance representative call, which gave Arc time to sneak up and hit him upside the head with a frying pan repeatedly until Maarten was vanquished, at which point Arc threw pancakes at everyone in the crowd before running off to hang out with British, Belgium, Germany and Danish friends.


Match Seven might turn out to be one of the closest fights of the entire tournament, and certainly the closest of round one as Tim Veltkamp squared off with epix. The match itself would begin with an Iron clad staring contest, followed by a wine tasting competition that left the crowd stunned and confused. After this the two squared off and began an all out brawl cuddly star trek bear vs armor clad halo warrior. Countless weapons were used, blood spilled, armor broke, and the judges swear at one point Tim was beating epix upside the head with a trout, but in the end Tim took advantage of epixs long Seal Team Six work outs to narrowly pull out the victory.


Match Eight, the Ministry of Finance smack down, as Aries Prime squared off against his State Secretary the Valeyard! As the Sheep Wolf took on the Lorax in a fight that involved a lot of money being thrown around and beating each other with bags of coins, after the money fight wrapped up. IT came down to the brawl portion of the fight, in which Aries despite being a sheep wolf, still used his wolf talents to edge out a bloody victory over Vale, leaving the Lorax all bitten up to death and out of the tournament. And that my dear Dutch Citizens was round one, come back next time for round two in which the fights will be slated as such;

Match 1: Odan vs. Legendardisch
Match 2: Athena the Great vs. lancer450
Match 3: NoTie112 vs. Arcanic Mindje
Match 4: Tim Veltkamp vs. Aries Prime

The Judges assure me the battle ring will be ready for round 2!
Betting Still Open
I have decided to extend the betting period until the start of round 2. What this means is, if you haven't already bet on a fighter, you still can. To bet all you have to do is pick which fighter you think or want to win the tournament. Should the person you pick win a prize of 5 gold, if they come in second you get 4 gold, if they come in third you get 3 gold, and if they finish in fourth you get 2 gold. There is no limit to how many players can bet on one fighter, but everyone only gets one bet. Since I decided to keep betting open longer, if you bet before round one, and your fighter has been eliminated, I will allow you to bet again. Betting does not cost you anything, but as stated if the fighter you bet on wins, you will earn up to 5 gold.
