[CP] Government Report - Week III

Day 1,742, 05:54 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Presidency

Dear eBelgians,

Just as I promised in my manifesto, I am bringing back the weekly government reports. Those reports will keep you well informed about what the Government is really doing.

Another week of my term has passed! It’s been a really busy week, but I do not complain of it! After Plato surprised us with his new challenge - The Battle of the Alliances, I had to make an important choice, but I think I did well in the end. In fact, the competition started today, but I am still waiting for Plato to automatically activate the Mutual Protection Pacts - as soon as it’s done, we will no longer be suffering from lack of battles to fight in. Unfortunatelly, I have to report that despite all my attempts, EDEN decided to keep us blacklisted. 🙁
On the other hand, the supply reform in the national army had been finished and the system is working on its full speed!

I sincerely believe that we are doing our best to keep eBelgium on right track! 🙂

You can read the reports, written by our lovely Ministers, below 🙂

Ministry of Defence - MaryamQ - The new supply system for BNA has been implemented, and we have also been able to provide supplies for citizen packs. Nohjis has kindly taken on the job of sponsoring DOFs and providing the information for times in the shout box and the MU orders. Those participating have received bonus Q7 tanks.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Lily Jayne Summers - Decent week again, especially in regard to activity. I'll be doing another MoFA update on the 28/29th or so where we've got lots of articles to share. We also made the right decision in terms of choosing our side in the Battle of the Alliances - Friendship Over Everything (FOE). While the UK CP was at risk of being impeached for choosing the wrong alliance. As well as the American CP, who was impeached for being in the same alliance as the British and the Spanish. Lastly, a few more ambassadors have signed up too. Good progress so far!

Ministry of Home Affairs - Viridi, Garth Lidlington and Sicariidae - The BoDi Awards have finished and the gold should have reached its way to their winners. The messaging of new players continues as our department finds the time. We have seen players that we messaged pick up activity and some of those are active ingame as well as a couple who have joined the forums. An IRC game is due to run next weekend, with more information soon; more information will be released on Wednesday.

Ministry of Immigration - Olv007 & Viridi - Immigration had to face some strange CS requests this week. Two potential PTO'rs were rejected. One request from someone who was refused in eUK was rejected as well. Another one was rejected because he only spook Spanish. We are no racists but communication is very difficult when you can't speak English.

One is still pending but very likely to be rejected as well as there are some indications that this person is trying to send other people from his group to eBelgium but we are analyzing this further. Yet again, we are really displeased to report that another two citizens were let in without the needed approval.

Ministry of Finance - Nohjis, Helviro, SX80 - A nice and calm week on the side of Finances. Tax income stayed in line of the previous weeks[/b]. The only expenses of note were the Boost Your Strength payments and BoDi awards. We take note of a loan reimbursement of 10 Gold by Sammy Tanghe, and more than 30 Gold in congress medal donations. The BoDi award given to shadowukcs was used to partly reimburse his loan. The 1 gold value will be counted at market value on the day of full reimbursement. The BTA financial reserves were returned to the state accounts due to the change in supply system foreseen in the new State Budget Law.

The total expense for the BYS program for this term is now: 41,04 Gold
The total tax income for this term is now: 140375,07 BEF

Yours very truly,
