[CP] Government Report - Week II

Day 1,735, 11:04 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Presidency

Dear eBelgians,

Just as I promised in my manifesto, I am bringing back the weekly government reports. Those reports will keep you well informed about what the Government is really doing.

Howdy! It’s been two weeks since I have been elected. During the last week I devoted most of time to reconcile the differences between EDEN and Belgium. I have spent hours in talks with the newly elected SC of EDEN and his assistants and I hope that we can settle the misunderstandings.

On the other hand, I would like to say that the budget revision passed in Congress! It's been very important for us to think better of our spendings, and I am really glad that we did it in the most proper manner. What I am really pleased about is the great work of the MoFA, the MoHA and the MoF. Also, due to the interesting debates about our foreign policy, there is a slightly increased activity of our Congress! Keep going, guys! We have to get lots of work done yet, but I am confident that we will cope with it!

You can read the reports, written by our lovely Ministers, below 🙂

Ministry of Defence - MaryamQ - Since the paras have been disbanded and integrated into BNA, we have been gathering information to show the progress of paras members and contributions made to fights in various countries in the last few months - thanks to Jofroi for that. I am going to use this to publish an article in the MoD newspaper, as well as giving more information about the reorganization of the BNA and what the new budget structure will mean for our soldiers. This last part is still being worked out by BNA command and the government, including MoD, MoF and the CP.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Lily Jayne Summers - It's been a better week for the MoFA. There's a few more ambassadors now, I've also posted our cabinet on the Russian forums and I may go on more national forums in a couple of days (As no one has done many for a while). I additionally have 2 articles that will be released in a couple of days too. With a possible tutorial to being an ambassador.

So to summarise, activity is good, more articles will be released a couple of day, more ambassadors and we're having a good term so far, from the MoFA perspective. But we can always improve and we stride to do so.

Ministry of Home Affairs - Viridi, Garth Lidlington and Sicariidae - This week the message system was fully implemented, and we've messaged dozens of people thus far. In fact, a couple people we have messaged have become quite active, though whether or not that was due to us is up for debate.

We also have the BoDi awards in its final stage, and voting is currently going on. We're due to announce the winners soon. Also, we're planning to host some games on the IRC. This month we'll focus on bingo, with some awards and prizes to be won there.

Apart from that, we've had a good term this month with high activity levels.

Ministry of Immigration - Olv007 & Viridi - We have had another interesting week in the MoI, but we do not complain of that!. We are gladly to welcome ArHawkk as the newest eBelgian. Unfortunatelly, we had to reject two applications and we are yet to make a decision on a single application.

Ministry of Education - viramunchi & Gyantse - We are still working on few tutorials, one of which will be published in days. However, the Belgian National Academy project is not finalised yet and we are looking for mentors, willing to help us.

Ministry of Finance - Nohjis, Helviro, SX80 - This week the new budget vote was finalized. After some work with the BNA command, the necessary measures have been taken to adopt the new budget reality in the communes. The final donations have been made to the paras and BYS² users. As of day 1731, the BYS² program is officially paused until further notice and the paras have been disbanded and integrated in the BNA structure.

We have successfully tracked down any funds remaining in the hands of managers of state sponsored programs: 200.000 BEF value in supplies and CC (BTA) / 20.000 BEF - of which 10.000 BEF has already been reimbursed to the state and the other part will follow soon (Boost Tax Program) / 78.750 BEF - which will be returned to the state accounts at the end of the month (Citizen programs) and 7.000 BEF (Pulse subsidies). Our expectation of the tax income for the rest of the month is about 100.000 BEF, while our spendings for the rest of the month will be no more than 100.000 BEF and 50 Gold.

Income since the beginning of the month
- Tax income since the beginning of the month: 104.302,07 BEF
- CP medal donation: 5 Gold
- Increase of Gold reserves: 623 Gold
- End of Paras return to the state: 20.951 BEF
- Sale of the stocks from civilian strikes: 2.453,09 BEF

Expenses since the beginning of the month
- Increase of Gold reserves: 692.595,50 BEF
- BNA: 294.000 BEF
- 3 MPP: 30.000 BEF

- BYS: 19,95 Gold

All in all, I am very pleased by our common work so far. However, I would like to announce that I am looking for new addition to the Ministry of Education. Everyone, willing to get involved - message me ingame. I am looking forward to your application.

Yours very truly,
