[CP] Getting Netherlands back on track

Day 4,547, 13:26 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Het Catshuis

Greetings citizens of the eNetherlands,

last few days were hectic indeed, with us flying to the middle of nowhere (also known as Slovenia) and Montenegro flying to Amsterdam. Throughout the month, the clash between us and some Balkan nation seemed to be inevitable, and in the end, it finally materialized, and it ended... well, not as bad as it could. Our part of the mission was successful, and Montenegro managed to stay here for less than 24 hours.

As far as the battles went - we have faced only limited resistance in Belarus (with the exception of famous multi-maker, and overall an unpleasant person called Fornok, who took the losses very personally), while on the other hand we have faced the full power of Montenegro. Naturally, Montenegro with their five Legend XXs had all the cards in their hands, when it came to Ground battles (only confirming the need for Netherlands to build an army of those eventually as well). However in the Air, the story was completely different, and Montenegro could only watch our dominance there. And as noted in another article of mine - we were not flying alone. Many nations joined us in this endeavor, and they deserve thanks just as much as you, our dear soldiers.

Overall, Montenegro managed to cause only limited damage. The amount of damage done was mitigated thanks to the good strategic planning on governmental part (which caused some ruckus in the government amongst less patient ministers, who at first did not believe such advanced and quick planning can succeed, and rather preferred swift, but costly solutions). We made sure Montenegro had nowhere to go, while we still had all initiative in our hands. On that note, I would like to thank to Poland, Germany, Latvia and Belgium, our dear Training War partners, who all had patience with our demands, sometimes presented to them at inconvenient times. Also thanks to Spain, who involuntarily flew here, and voluntarily disappeared as soon as it was possible. Special thanks to Shawtyl0w and NoTie112, who were there watching the key battle against Latvia, which had to be prolonged as much as possible.

Thanks to you, the efforts to get Netherlands back on track will be finished in next couple of hours, and soon we will forget Montenegro was even here. The only thing left to do will be concessions with Iran, which will sadly be lost for few days, causing mild damage to their economy. However something like this is hard to prevent, when facing a stronger opponent, and we can only hope all the battles we face will make us stronger and stronger, eventually making us unstoppable on our path!

As for the Balkans terriroty we managed to acquire - we will stay there for now, and do things there to help our allies. At this moment we need to wait for other nations to position themselves in a good way, so we can start our movement, so today we are switching initiatives around (since winning against Romania, of all the nations, was something unacceptable to accept for me). Apparently, we have been faster than others in the area our actions, even though I have took a heretic delay of 30 minutes with launching one law, for which I have been pestered in the government for next 2 days 😛 (and they say being President is fun - it's really not, especially after midnight 😶 )

Other than that, there is not much left to do for the last few days of the term, so I will be focusing on making sure my successor will inherit Netherlands in the best possible shape, so that he can be proud on all we have achieved in the last couple of months 😉 . The authors of good quality articles during this month can soon expect an announcement from our Minister of Education, and some small , but sweet reward incoming to their accounts.

P.S: I heard the recent comments under the DAF Article, and I wish they came sooner than after 6 weeks, as now I need to leave this task to the next government due to lack of time. The Daily Order Program was supposed to be a short-term event, promoting our National Military Unit (which, of course, has its significance in this nation) and the importance of Daily Orders, while testing the skills of our Commanders. And all of that was achieved in ne way or the other. On that regard, let me publicly state that swift and efficient cooperation with odan and Shawtyl0w was actually one of the most enjoyable moments during these few months, and I am happy they are both in command and I hope they will keep doing their good job there.

However with the RL events, it eventually turned into a long-term plan and now it might even turn into a full-fledged program next month. However in order for that to be achieved, and in order for other MU's to be included (which they should,if this goes full official) - Commanders of Private MU's should do the same as Commanders of DAF, that means updating the orders regularly, guaranteeing the distribution of rewards and providing either a full article or atleast screenshots necessary for general article to be made. If your MU can do that - good 🙂 . If it can't - well... you should join a better one instead.

(Naturally, members of foreign MU's cannot expect to be rewarded for following foreign orders, but that is a different story altogether).

And that's all for today!
