{CP} CP Update 5 - All quiet on the Western Front

Day 3,052, 21:03 Published in Australia Australia by Aus Prime Minister Office

G'day eAustralia.

Good morning and I hope you are all enjoying your 'hump' day today. While there is not much of an update to provide with you today, I will talk about the few small things that having been happening in eAustralia.

New Congress

The current new congress has been sworn in and all introductions have been made in the 'Congress Thread', this is running in association with topics being posted in the forums, however the congress thread is the primary source of communication.

Since the new congress has sat down, the elected ministers have been discussing upcoming MPP renewals, the NAP with Indo and the possibility of a training war change, as well as the DoF donation law.

While things might seem to be winding down as we approach the new CP elections, rest assured your government is still working tirelessly in trying to ensure Australia's future is safe and strong.

NAP with Indonesia

As you might of read in the DoFA article eAustralia and eIndonesia wanted to renew and refresh their long standing NAP (Non-Aggression Pact).

This NAP is as follows:

NON-AGGRESSION PACT BETWEEN AUSTRALIA AND INDO

Recognizing the improvements in the relations between our nations the governments of Australia and Indonesia agree to continue the long standing NAP between our two great nations. This includes promising not to start new hostilities between our countries and to sign the following Non-Aggression Pact:

1. The signing countries agree not to start new hostilities between them and therefor won´t propose declarations of natural enemy or direct war or airstrike laws against each other.

2. The signing countries won´t start nor support any resistance wars in regions which are occupied by one of the signing states. Unless it is a pre-arranged region hand over/swap. This also includes regions which are being rented out.

3. While our MPP partners might differ, both countries will try and not endorse or support any acts of aggression against each signatory, however the defense of our MPP partners will be accepted (in setting of DOs but not direct attack).

4. Any potential training wars between the signing countries won´t affect this Non-Aggression pact.

5. This agreement will be valid for one month from the date of signing and will be renewed as long as no signature state contradicts. Both countries will publish this NAP in their government newspapers.

As there were no disagreement to the proposed renewing of the NAP, this agreement has been signed by both governments. We in Australia would like to continue to see the growth between our nations and hope in the future it will lead to a better economic agreements between the two nations.

Other news in brief

Training War - Discussions are still on going with a change in our Training War partner. A draft agreement to the training war has been presented to both governments and we are awaiting to hear back to see if this will go ahead. eSouth Africa is happy to continue the current training war with eAustralia until further notice. eAustralia would like to take the time to thank eSouth Africa for there continued TW with us and their understanding in this situation.

MPPs - eAustralia has a few MPPs coming up for renewal. These include the USA, Japan and Iran. All MPPs will be discussed prior to renewing, as your current government is aware of the changes in the political and international scene, we would always like to ensure Australia's security and safety is at the forefront of any agreements.

The DoFA will be releasing further articles in the regards to MPPs as they come up for renewal.

CP Elections - It is coming to that time again, when soon eAustralia will be going to the voting booths to choose their new Country President. I am hoping to see some good election campaign articles being released by those who want to run for the top spot. And remember, YOU as the public have the right to ask to be nominated and also the right to ask those who are running questions about their plans for eAustralia's future.

As I said at the start of the article, it has been a quiet few days, but there is work going on. Unfortunately a lot is behind closed doors stuff and I can not talk about it, here in public. But once any laws, discussions or approaches have passed the 'closed door' stage, I will do my best to keep you, the eAustralian public informed. And as always, remember if you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a PM or ask in the comments below.
