[CP-AUS] Three Sum!

Day 3,101, 15:11 Published in Australia Australia by Aus Prime Minister Office

Thanks to another successful charge brought home by General McCrutch, we now have Saltpeter, our first weapons bonus in South Australia.

Weapons testing in eAustralia will take place in the Woomera Test Range. An Australian Defence Force facility overseen by Commander Pickle which covers 122,000 square kilometres - about 1/7 of South Australia. Woomera was named after the Dharug word for a spear thrower, pictured here in the right hand, loaded with a spear ready to throw.

Woomera also played an important part in the space race. In 1960 NASA established Deep Space Station 41 at Island Lagoon.

As can be expected, given that the Woomera Prohibited Area is Australia's equivalent of Area 51, there have also been several UFO sightings through the years.

We are on target to gain all our priorities early. Neodymium may be a close call given the scarcity, although many of the fiercest competitors are now out of the running due to exclusion zones. After the next drop I might ask the senate to consider whether we would settle for Cobalt given the chance. In terms of other resources we have had some very close races on Rubber, Oil and Granite, most recently led by Gueneo, so it's only a matter of time and a little luck before we gain those as well.

An Australian Man has nominated to be the head of ASIO. This is currently being discussed and voted on by the new party presidents. There is also talk of further negotiations to reach a greater consensus on the policy, but this may take some time, so for now the current ASIO policy stands.

A reminder that Senate (congress) nominations are now open and that my recommendation to make sure your nomination stays up is to make the nomination while in Tasmania (you can move elsewhere after nominating). eJapan and eIreland have both agreed not to attack Tasmania so no nominations made there should be lost.

Also don't forget to keep an eye your MU shout-box or #ausrep on IRC for upcoming orders in the Resource War.
