Join the new world

I have a very large update filled with twists, turns, and surprise endings in store for you all! To start with I want to go through the achievements my cabinet has accomplished, which I take little credit for. Afterward I want to say a few words on the national shield tournament, take us through the spending this term, and wrap up with a few well needed medals. There might even be an endorsement for one of the CP candidates.



Ministry of Health

-Expanded my program (for more players)
-Started supplying q2 food as main q food
-Not much else other than the heck of a supplies we all gave during the RW's, drained all my personal nlg as well, but it was worth it 😛
-I am going to send a mass pm to all players involved (a survey) to see their opinion on the program,

- Aurora
- Extensive articles on the alliances
- The idea for a new (and better) ambassador system (Which Willem wants to bring in to reality next month)

- Achievement of both our goals in the Tournament:

- Organizing massive fundraising through private donations in gold, weapons and food for the good cause.
- Distribution of loads of food and weapons to our citizens.

Ministry of Coaching

* Conducted and posted a research on the Forum Subsidy and implemented a different, more activity-rewarding system in it.
* Led the Gold-Handout after the National Tournament, in which a lot of medals and around 300G has been given to our citizens.
* Made a list of possible applicants for a Training Facility Loan/Subsidy, made a decision to scrap the current TF law for a more flexible approach in the future.

The Other Ministries

Unfortunately the other ministries were only able to maintain their jobs without any substantial improvements. MoHA was able to successfully keep track of immigration and provide various articles for our citizens while MoF tracked our taxes and moved funds when required. The Minister of Markets position had to be folded due to a switch up in the MoF department.



The National Shield Tournament

I don’t have too much to say other than we did an excellent job securing our goal for this tournament. We reached out 500% mark allowing us to gain 1750 gold in the process. From there we started a program to give the gold back to our citizens as best we could. I think it was a huge success overall, and we came out with a huge profit, 1500+ gold or 310500+cc (At 207cc per gold market price), overall. Currently we are not using this gold, but we should be able to invest it back into our community next term with the plans we have in place.

On the barebones side we ran a surplus of 312cc and spent 252g. I added the gold portion to show how much gold we spent, even though gold budget is unregulated and not part of the actual budget. It is very complicated how the gold earned from this term should be calculated into the budget since we have no laws for that, but I added our gold spent to enlighten people. If we added the tournament gold, then we had a huge gold surplus. The two are split because our budget is only allocated in terms of cc while gold is separate from the budget. Technically we ran a balanced budget as we did not spend more than our tax income for the term.

The reason for the 312cc surplus is a last minute MPP with Chile that we needed to sign. We had asked them for an MPP for over a week and they just approved it while starting the ingame process immediately.

The mercenary scandal is another issue my government had to pick up. We had to use 8500cc of our own funds to help pay for it while the Crusader33 16.5k donation helped pick up the other part. The reason we had to pay 8500cc is because Crusader requested 8500cc be reserved for him if he ever returns to the game, so we decided to put that away for him.

MoD and MoH used all of their funds to buy Q7 and Food. They also received many donations from our community to help with the various events we had this term. Let it be known that we still have a substantial quantity of Q7 and Food that will rollover to the next government that is not factored into this sheet. If we were to liquate these assets, we would be clearly underbudget at a barebones level.

With the tournament we gained 1750 gold or 362250cc (At 207cc per gold market price). I did not add this into the budget, but if taken into account we managed a very huge profit this term. Again, it is complicated how we should track gold spend since we currently do not regulate how gold should be spent, but we gained a very large surplus.

Next term I expect we will have to have a deficit no matter who wins the election. With the gold earned from the tournament and the vast reserves we have, we are going to need to transition to a longer term budget cycle. This will include months of deficits while we have interspersed months of huge surpluses, like we saw this term. This is something I will have to work on next term as MoF, assuming Notie112 wins, to make sure we maintain a balanced budget on a long term scale. We don’t want to be hampered by being fearful of spending deficits, but we want to do it in a way that will be made up with large surpluses.



Medals

I am awarding Weekstrom the Militaire Onderscheidingen Eresabel and the Orde van Oranje-Nassau Officier with a strong recommendation to congress to vote on a Commandeur or Ridder Grootkruis level.

The reason for the Militaire Onderscheidingen Eresabel is Weekstrom’s long term dedication to eNL Navy. This is a medal that I think is long overdue as Weekstrom has been commander of our most valuable state MU for over a year and a half with little to no recognition. He has been involved in our commander chats giving advice and listening to government orders for just as long of a time. His service to NL in regards to the state MUs demands recognition and this is the best way to show it.

The reason for the Orde van Oranje-Nassau Officier is for his very extensive report on improving the communes, located here: http://www.enetherlands.nl/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12302. I am also requesting congress vote for him to receive the Commanduer medal as a minimum with the Ridder Grootkruis as most preferable. Although many of you will have a very hard time understanding the report, it is one that will make our state communes balanced and workable for all our citizens. A lot of time was spent preparing this report and it demands recognition for how indepth and useful it really is. Although some people might claim it was done while in service to the government, the report is so beneficial that it will have a very significant impact on the community of Netherlands when implemented, as is required for the medal.

Walhallah is another that I wanted to award a medal to for his revolutionary ideas in the MoD department. His contests, tournament work, supply distribution, etc. have earned him the medal of Militaire Onderscheidingen Eervolle vermelding. I believe he has set a very high bar for future MoDs and his work will be the precedent for those that follow him. I don’t believe many will be able to argue with what he has done this term as he really has transformed what it means to be a MoD in Netherlands.



Season Two begins with Notie112

As we come to a close, I want to officially endorse Notie112 for the next president of Netherlands! He will be carrying on with the plans I have put into motion this term, and I have every confidence in his abilities to carry them out. With him at the helm we will be even closer to joining Aurora and will have more wars and MPPs to keep us involved. I am very confident that he can go above and beyond what I have done this term, and I want it known that only Notie112 can continue with what we have done this term. If you want to continue with the work we have done this term, if you want to join Aurora as our referendum overwhelmingly showed, if you want more wars and fun activities, then vote for Notie112!
