[Congress] Update 1- Blacklist Act Repealed + CS Committee Election

Speaker of Congress here with the first update of the new Congress, following the conclusion of the first vote of the term, which we’ll look at first.

As a lot of you will know, ESO’s FightAndProduce proposed the Blacklist Act adopted by the previous congress be repealed. After 24 hours debate, a 48-hour vote took place and the results were as follows:



The turnout was 24 congressmen voting out of 36 total, in addition to the CP- a turnout of 66.6%.The members of congress who failed to cast their vote are as follows.



Citizenship Committee Election

In other news over the first few days, an election has begun to fill two vacancies on the CS committee. For those of you who don’t know, the CS committee is made up of five congress members elected by their fellow members to take decisions on who to admit to the eUK. The positon is semi-permanent and lasts until the committee member leaves congress, resigns the post or is impeached by congress.

There were four candidates for the election- Gali2332, Rafay Ahmed, LongShotzZ, and FightAndProduce

The election is on going and will finish at midnight tonight, I will update this article with the results once they are finalised.

With two vacancies existing on the committee, Gali2332 and FightAndProduce are duly elected.

If anyone is confused about people voting for two different candidates, its just way the elections are done- each congress member has a 1 vote for every vacancy on the committee- in this case they were selecting the two they would like to be on the committee
