⚓ British Youth - Just an idea
Cerillion
Howdy lads,
here’s my third article already, I have to admit I was thinking what to write about for a while since it’s what I have to do to fill my next mission which asks me to write an article and recieve 25 comments from a different citizens, since I’m not allowed to write articles full of spam I’ve decided to write something actually useful. It’s just an idea which has been rumbling through my head for a while. I’ve been speaking to few Division 1 soldiers about this and they seem to like the idea too. It turned out it’s not something new, but if it happened before it’s surely not active anymore.
So, the idea is….*drums*...to found a specialized group made of Division 1 soldiers who would like to work on their strenght before fighting.
I know there’s been attempts like this already, some older players explained me that. But it seems something like this isn’t a thing anymore and I feel like it’s kinda useful to have a specialized group which would be ready to take any Division 1 round in the world when there’s need for it. Some latest battles has been really close and Division 1 WAS actually needed there.
So, how would this ‘group’ look like?
I’m not saying there should be actually a Military Unit just for the new players, but a message thread, some articles with advices and directions, mutual help, maybe even chat channel. That would definitly help. I’ve seen many of our fellow British players in Division 1 who are just fighting, some of them already reached Level 25 and didn’t reach even 1000 strenght. That needs to be changed. We need to explain them how would it be more effective to build on their account. For example, how many of new players knows how influence in the battles is calculated? I’m sure there’s not many of them and that’s exactly why they are fighting in the battles. Especially now, when there’s not even profit from fighting for True Patriot, Freedom Fighter or Mercenary medals there’s no more point in fighting in Division 1 anyway. Except for the super important battles, or the ones with really high Combat Orders.
Hell, we could even call ourselves somehow. Like British Infantry Troops. Yeah, it sounds stupid, but we could think of some cool name, I’d create banners and logo for us. We could meet each other, have some fun, help each other and actually do something useful. For example, if there’s a high Combat Order offer battle, we could just send a message in our thread and everyone would start fighting there and take the money we could use for further progress.
I can’t be the leader of this group, group don't need leader at all; just some people with more contacts and more knowledge about the game should take charge of it, I have my own favourites, but anyone who would step out and stand by me would be a decent choice. All we have to do is organise ourselves, act together and things would just naturally get better.
I = 10 × (1 + S/400) × (1 + R/5) × (1 + FP/100)
* I: Influence on the hit
* FP: Citizen's firepower (Weapon used)
* R: Value of the Rank
* S: Strength
As you can see, strenght determines your influence much more than rank does. Basicly, in Division 1 rank is useless if you don’t have a decent strenght. I’m trying to explain you why you should quit fighting and start gathering money for training grounds. Thanks to great guys I’ve met here I already have my training grounds on Level 4 (free) and Level 2 (0,19). It’s not much, but it is a good start.
The point of this article would be a call to organise for my fellow Division 1 soldiers. Together, we can make a difference and we don’t even have to leave our own Military Units. If you’re interested in joining such project please fill this google form, so I know how many interested citizens would be there in start. Remember, there’s no obligations, no new Military Units, no extra work you should do if you don’t want to. Just a friendly group which would support it’s ‘members’ with advices and informations.
After publishing this article, I will add strongest British Division 1 players and try to send them all a message about this article and the idea, but eventually, someone more fameous and expirienced will need to take charge of this.
What you think about the idea?
Do you have any advice how this group should be named?
Please express your opinion in the comments, I need 25 of them, and I believe it would be good to share ideas.
Since I still don't have much friends, would you be so nice to share the article?

Agree with a lot of this, the eUK badly needs more co-ordination in how we direct our damage and ensure that our most active fighters get the support they need
Slimming down the pointless MU's the eUK has, would go a long way to directing damage better.

That's a far whack of damage...
Active Commanders, is also another needed thing in the eUK. The MU Commanders and anyone able to set and change the Daily Order should be the most active, regardless of just about anything. Too many eUK MU's have ego driven Commanders.
These two simple things would go along way to solving eUK's continued poor delivery of damage.
Gotta agree with that wayne mate
does that mean I get a promotion in the Royal Navy Now?
This sounds awfully familiar..
That's cuz I've repeated myself countless times...

Also, maybe you should extend the support through to div 2, the majority of div 3 - 4 are experienced players that can deal with their problems.
Yep, Division 2 should also be in the focus, since many Div 1 players will reach Div 2 soon anyway.
With the amount of 'active' players the eUK has, all divisions could benefit with a open mass mail... could probably even fit em all in a single mail...
Sretno!
Chaz, leader of the prestigious Chazbeard Yoof, is going to kill you.
What Wayne said, though. You could probably cram all the players that need help into a single mail.
Cerillion. The RN regiments are divided in accordance to division already.
Why not take them under your wing and see how you get on mate
and if you want to step up as Captain too, just say the word (if gali, VM or Hadyn don't mind, that is)
Will do, just when I get a bit more time, thank you lads!
I don't mind.
The Group will be bored... find the patient players.
I was gonna do a constructive comment but I can't think of anything.
This is awkward....
Now now rob, that would be working too hard. Why not sit there looking at this a bit longer mate 😉
I'm in D1 and after I get my two new medals (FF and Merc, then I'll have enough gold for a new training contract) I plan to stop fighting for some time. I have 14k strength, but want to have minimum 20k before D2.

Also need 24 more friends. Once I get this article the 25 comments I will have one more. That one will be a real article with humor and stuff. Some pretty pictures. Things like that.
Great article!
Aye, coordination of the lower two divisions can be quite key to certain battles.
Plus we need dedication...dedication...dedication, that's what we need.
Great article, but let me share you some of my concerns.
I've started this game quite some time ago and this is my third 'life' here. BTW every time I left it was becouse a 'great' update the admins made.
Like divisions, I alredy started around the end of D2 when they introduced them whith stregth worth almost nothing. Never had much of a chance to get a BH or anything before either though.
I've never enjoyed playing like a vegetable, but thats my fault surely your way of thinking is more efficient at present that is.
I'm most troubled by the thought that our great admins will come forth with a nice idea like introducing Q5-6-7 watever training grounds for only 5000 or so gold and they will provide an outstanding 2000 strength per day and that will make your months of patience worth noting.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

@szutymesz22, Expect it's highly likely, profit as much as you can from allowing free time-dependant play, then cash in on the market for those that want to leapfrog. The business model is king, it's about introducing changes that feed most efficiently from the various market sectors without destroying the game. That's not the same as saying 'I' or 'you' will play, but their should always be some type of market to feed the company from. Even if they made eRep awful, while it would be a cost in advertising, it could be fixed and therefore is a possible deliberate function of market manipulation.
Like an investment, if you cash-out when negative news is leaked, even when you otherwise belief in the company, you can't be too surprised when the news turns out to be false and it was a ploy to buy back shares cheaply.
I, as many, would welcome the introduction of a vastly increased strength gain feature.
With all the multi problem we have, Div 1 would be very easy to manage, their are clearly reasons it's not easy and they apply to the real player as the multi. For the strength gain to make a difference, the time you actually stay in Div 1 makes it a poor investment, unless you can convince pretty much every new player they need to strength build in Div 1. However the amount of strength isn't really the issue, because everyone can do the same thing, making the improvement irrelevant. The issue is getting people to only fight in specific battles, educating and monitoring the situation to ensure maximal use of life (xp gains) before Div 2.
The MoD system is generally effective, but I think it's fair to say it's certainly not highly efficient. Individuals want progress, gold, excitement, shitz; So directives are not always followed. The amount of effort required to introduce more 'analness' into eRep to improve efficiency can be thought of as travelling at speed, you need ever increasing energy but get diminishing returns.

D1 players shouldn't be hitting regularly anyway. They should be focusing on upgrading their TGs and strength training. What the UK needs is a program that will give D1 (and even D2) players some gold to build up if they don't hit unless called upon to hit by the government.

nice article and a great idea, good luck on your 25 comments too

Did the Strength route myself and I do not regret it. The boredom gives you time to explore politics, business and media which ultimately leads to a more fulfilling game. The other advantage was leaving D1 with all four Training Centers upgraded to Q4.
Call them StrXXX - no danger of spell strength porn wrong.
The system of DOs encourages D1 players like me to fight every day, even if it's just for 25 hits.
I did that for a long time thinking is was the right thing to do, and now I find myself at lvl 30 with only 4.5k strength. My first two TGs are up to Q4, but it will take forever to upgrade TGs 3 and 4 (and then buy a contract so that I can actually use them). Until that happens I'm stuck on gaining strength at a rate of 30 per day.
Ask people for help. You are in the RN, I know for a fact they will help you (or would back in my day). eUK are a very giving bunch and most wouldn't think twice about helping a daily active account to build up his strength.
Ironically, today is TG upgrade day!
If I can get 15g in, I can upgrade Lvl3 TG from Q1 to Q3, and Lvl4 TG from Q1 to Q2. Bank of England are loaning up to 10g on their article, and I've asked RN for a 5g loan. Fingers crossed it comes in in time.
Excellent article - I've seen less helpful ones from people with tons of experience, this goes to show that even someone new to eRep can make a huge difference!
And for those who are new to the game or the eUK, another idea: do the eBrit University curriculum, you'll earn rewards for completing fairly simple tasks and hitting easy milestones. But the real benefit is you'll have a much wider grasp of all that is involved in the game, and you may just find something that really interests you, rather than just 2-clicking. Interested? Message me and I'll get you set up!
Ah, apparently I can't endorse 🙁...
Great article, keep this up and you'll be CP in no time (remember me when you are)!
Merry Christmas Cerillion!
