[BB] Alliances soon break up ? [DE/ENG]
CarStefan
Today there is the first article of the Balkanbote 2.0. Topic of this article are the alliances of our eWorld and how much they lost inner stability.
What happens with the alliances of our eWorld? They lose their inner stability; one cause is Bulgaria which feels betrayed by EDEN because of cooperation with Turkey. Another example is the MPP between Serbia and Russia which was nearly signed. The first time in history the members of EDEN distrust each other how never before. The Core of this destabilization lies at the agean ocean. Turkey, which strives for a position as main power in the Orient, conquered Persia and big parts of the Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan. The country tries to strengthen their position in EDEN and to improve their relationship to their former archenemy’s Bulgaria and Greece. The Reaction of Bulgaria is clear: No cooperation with Turkey. In game and RL the country’s population has a very negative attitude towards the Turks also the Greek population. Bulgaria and Greece have built a strong relationship, building on the War against Turkey. But now the archenemy is on their side and the majority of the Greek and Bulgarian population won’t accept that. Bulgaria even threats an exit of EDEN. The Greek gouvernement is a little bit more relaxed. They tolerant their MPP with Turkey as long as their national interests are secured. Of course this is stressing the Greek-Bulgarian friendship.
Not even 24 hours ago Russia (Terra) and Serbia (ONE) almost signed a MPP. The half of the congressmen both nations voted yes. The fact that the MPP is not signed caused by only one voice against gives “TEDEN” and ONE time to breathe, but is shows clearly how weak the country’s connection to their alliance is. Half of the Serbs and Russians would ignore their alliances interests for signing a MPP with an in RL friendly country. And that’s not only between Russians and Serbs.
My conclusion: the current alliances ONE, Terra and EDEN have too much differences in comparison to RL, so they are not able to be stabile for a longer time.
Now we face the question whether the alliance will break up? It’s possible because the conflict between Bulgaria and Turkey can’t be solved so easily.
Let’s say the alliances break up, how would the new alliances look like? Well, I have my theories.
If Bulgaria leaves EDEN, that means a approximationto former ONE countries like Serbia. Of course countries like Serbia and Bulgaria have their disputes but their share a lot of culture, religion and their negative attribute to Turks. These similarities could lead to an orthodox alliance with Russia and Greece. Maybe. Maybe not. More about possible alliances will be written in my next article.

i don't think it will stay this way, the power is unequally shared atm
great work... ich hoffe, die kommenden artikel werden auch so super! weiter so
In the past it was a rule that once an alliance had "conquered the world" it would fall apart due to internal fighting and from the ashes of the winning and defeated alliances two new strong ones would appear. These were often closely related to the old ones with few exceptions. Eden has now Survived far longer than usual, even in spight of near total destruction. On the other hand ONE also seems to survive their near destruction so the question is if the time of alliances dying is over?
I think the orthodox Greek-Serb-Russian-Bulgarian alliance is a fairly realistic scenario eventally, but it will be a result of slow changes rather than happen over night. An alliance of these 4 countries would not only have a hard time making it alone, they would probably also have problems with being too close neighbours for all to get the desired regional bonuses.
At the formation of such an alliance there's two major losers: FYROM and Turkey, as they will be frontline countries and their hate for each other prevents them from allying, leaving both of them weaker. How the rest of the TEDEN and ONE countries will spread out, I dare not speculate.

An exciting time is indeed coming, I hope ONE and EDEN will mix into a number of smaller alliances, but I'm not sure if that is realistic..

Jetzt erstmal lesen...
I was about to write a long comment about the future in my opinion but eRep deleted it with automatically going to homepage (timeout) so I give a summary. I think either the alliances' cores will remain the same and only small changes will happen or there will be much more, like 4. This is because RL*. These for will look like that Alliance 1 is fighting with A 2, has MPPs with some A 3 countries and some further (like the other half of Europe or so) A 4 countries. A 2 has with the other A 3 and the other A 4. This is an option, hoever, sometimes (not too much, but some) MPPs would knock others out. Or, it will be just like TERRA&EDEN, but ONE will break to two, too. This is what I think the reality will be. But it is unpredictable right now as I personally think there are some months for the current system, but it started to break.
*RL doesn't always matter. For example, RL, Serbia and Hungary aren't friends, but IG we are allies. :😁 Also, in other game, c....Republik we had NAP with Romania (now we don't). And there is an alliance between Serbia and Croatia. And they have alliance on vP...lus. Nothing is impossible, however, the RL related issues have a long history ingame, too, so even if people would do it because of RL, they won't be allies because of IG.

immer noch so gut, wie früher.

Nice to see you writing again!
