Hello fellow AMPers!
As you Probably know, the PP elections will take place in 3 days, on July 14th.
This month, there are 2 candidates: Code-Y and John Killah, so lets hear about their background and plans for the future!
I would like to thank our candidates for cooperating and answering my questions, you two are great guys, and we have a tough race here for sure!

John Killah

So John Killah, can you tell us a little bit about your background in the AMP?
Why did you join? Why did you stick around? What roles have you held?

I joined AMP back in October 2011 as Deputy when Haliman asked me to take the job as a way of getting me into politics (I'd been 2-clicking for over a year at that point). From there, I've stuck around for the friends i've made in the game and the potential to make even more friends when new faces join the party. Since I've joined, I've worked in every department whether officially (as it's director) or unofficially (as a helping hand).

What do you think really sets you apart from Code-Y?

As simple as I can, Experience and Dedication. He's a nice guy, and I think he will be a good PP ... But he hasn't been at the party as long as myself and doesn't understand how the party works, and why it's worked like it has. I know the history and I know what has worked and hasn't worked in the past.

What would you say are your strengths and your weaknesses? What would you do
in order to best utilize your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses?

My strengths I'd argue would be my dedication to the role and my honesty. In order to get the best out of them, I plan on just being me - Not telling people what they want to hear simply to sate them, but tell them what needs to be said to progress forwards, and being on during anytime I'm not working or sleeping. My weaknesses I'd say is my timezone and eAge, being from Britain, I'm at least 5 hours ahead of most of the country and sometimes I can't be around for critical times, but I have a strong CoS who I can count on 100% as well as the rest of leadership to function without me for a few hours. As for eAge, I counter that by listening to new people and getting their thoughts on matters ... I try to bridge the gap.

If you'll be elected as the PP, what will be our first action?

- First Action? A media article thanking the party and explaining what I hope to accomplish in the term. I feel that media isn't something the party focuses strongly on at times, especially from the person who is supposed to be in charge.

Which section you think AMP needs to focus on? Is it media, retention, education etc… and why?

Jointly Recruitment and Retention. Always has been in my books. The party can't grow unless we're bringing in new blood with new talents and ideas, and giving them a reason to stick around in a game that, to be frank, is terrible at the best of times. I want them to want to stick around and not only help the party, but to enjoy making new friends with people the way I did when I first joined.

Any message for the AMPers?

First of all, thank you for even considering voting for me, it means something to me. Secondly, if you want to get involved in helping the party, don't hesitate. The doors are never shut and we never bite (Except greeling, but only when you ask).


Code-Y

So Code-Y, can you tell us a little bit about your background in the AMP?
Why did you join? Why did you stick around? What roles have you held?

I'm AMP's Current Media Director as well as Founder of the GTA Program and I'm also currently running AMP Careers. I'm also a Honorary Round Table member and have been for about 3 months. I joined because Military is the most important thing in this game and a party focused on that is where I want to be. I stuck around because this party was a good stick. I won't lie, at first I was a little in love with Greeling, but I got over him and now I'm staying for the great friends that I've found here.

What do you think really sets you apart from John Killah?

The mindset we're in. John Killah is a great person and very resourceful and dedicated, but we're two completely different mind sets. He's one of the oldest members in AMP and responsible for building this party. Me, I'm newer and as such I'm more open to new ideas. I'm seeking change while he's seeking stability, and while change is not always for the better or worse, stability will not progress us anywhere.

What would you say are your strengths and your weaknesses? What would you do
in order to best utilize your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses?

My strengths? I have a lot of time to put into this game. I have a lot of friends who are willing to dedicate just as much time as me. I'm inclusive, active, and friendly. To this day, never have I got a PM that I haven't responded to, never has a newb asked me for something and been given nothing, and never will I turn my back on another player, because when I was new, I was helped the same way and I feel everyone should be given a chance.

To best utilize my strengths, I'm trying to assemble a team of dedicated members who will devote a lot of their time into assembling the foundation that will support AMP into a top 5 party.


If you'll be elected as the PP, what will be our first action?

My first action as PP would likely be updating my profile and writing, "Party President of the most dedicated party in USA".

Which section you think AMP needs to focus on? Is it media, retention, education etc… and why?

I think retention and recruitment are two departments we can improve on. My future recruitment director Piggy Boot has just created a new message to be sent out to new citizens which is already receiving positive results! During my term I expect the same. As for retention....
I have Greeling, one of the most dedicated members in AMP! I plan to have him restart our AMP Lottery as well as reshape it.


Any message for the AMPers?

I may not be as experienced as my opponent. Fortunately, what I lack in experience, I make up for in dedication. With that said, regardless of who wins, the party will survive. But I don't want it to "survive", I want it to thrive! I want it to grow, and prosper into a Top 3 party, possibly even #1! And if you want that too, then I guess we've decided which candidate you're voting for.



And now, for something completely different! I’m here to tell you about an amazing program that the AMP runs. It’s called Give These AMPers Tanks - or GTA, for short. This program seeks to provide 7 free Q7 tanks to any and every eUS citizen that posts on the AMP forums twice per day. You read that correctly: “every eUS citizen.”

All you have to do is head over to the AMP Forums and write two different posts on any of our dozens of active threads. Then, fill out the GTA Request Form linking to your eRep profile, and your two posts for that day. That’s it! By the end of the day, you’ll be 7 tanks richer!

If you haven’t already, head over to the AMP Forums and register your forum account. It’s got everything from political debate threads, to games and jokes, to our own AMP Primaries. All you need to do to get access is post in the Access Request Thread saying you’re an eUS citizen who wants free tanks!

Like I said already, you don’t have to be in AMP to take advantage of this great program. Even if I weren’t in AMP, I would still use this program each and every day, because I love our forums so much, and I get free stuff! Who wouldn’t want to get paid to do something they would gladly do for free?

What does it mean to be AMP'ed?

In a time when parties have dulled and slowed, AMP puts up a show and crashes onto stage with a BOOM! What makes AMP the best choice for someone seeking a party, is that no matter what you want to do, you can accomplish that in AMP. Careers are available and AMP is always looking to place newcomers in positions of interest. Whether your plan is to build a resume and climb up the ladder, or simply enjoy a little more meta, AMP has you covered.
Take me for instance, I told the recruiter I wanted to be more involved. Within the hour I found myself a job in the media department. Within 4 hours, I had received my first assignment. For someone fed up with 2-clicking, AMP has offered me the opportunity to be a part of something great.

It started as most things do, with a little curiosity.
Upon joining the channel, I did what any professional Newbie does upon joining a new channel with questions.

After learning about AMP's goals, and their various programs offered, I couldn't help but wonder where they've been my whole eLife. AMP is #1 when it comes to having the most to offer on the table.
In addition to the usual Food/Tank program, AMP also has other programs such as the GTA program, AMP Careers, AMP Jobs, and activities like free lotteries, trivia, and even IRC game nights!
And you can bet that there are prizes 😉
AMP is more than just fun though, AMP offers several mentor programs, such as "Battle Buddies", the (AMP Newb Training) ANT Program, and has several resources and mentors available for those interested in Congress.

All in all, I have to say, I've grown very fond of my new home. I'm excited for my future with these folks, as they seem ambitious and dedicated. 0>
