“Let us be conductors of our own fate, rely on God and on the eternal true folk Love.”

Hello, friends.

Let me introduce you our suggestions. I wrote singers/bands where I was able to do this.

My suggestions (they will not participate in the competition):

click here Slavi Trifonov - Вземи огин, запали, ме / Take fire, burn me.
It’s a love song, the lyric hero suffers, because he can’t live without his girlfriend.

Song name: You are beautiful, my forest
This song is about the awe and reverence which one feels before the beauty and tranquility of the forest. Lyuben Karavelov is the author of the lyrics. He was a Bulgarian poet and revolutionary in the last years of ottoman slavery. As he spent most of his life abroad this poem (later song) has nostalgic theme.
26. Family Tonika – Дилмано, Дилберо click
Song name: Hear me, Dilmana
This song is a dialogue between a villager and his wife named Stoyan and Dilmana. He tells her his enthusiastic, but unrealistic, plan to move to the city in the next morning and become rich there in no time. She tells him that he day-dreams and it is not that easy as catching the train. Finally, she reminds him of his everyday duties in the garden.
27. Boris Mashalov – Заблеяло ми агънце click
Song name: Lamb started to bleat (this is impossible to translate properly 🙁 )
A lamb in the Todor's flock began sadly to bleat and the flock went silent. The shepherd asks the lamb why it is bleating so sadly and the lamb tells him that it is sad, because its mother Rogusha is missing. Todor tells him that merchants came and gave him handful of coins for Rogusha. The lamb reminds him of when the river overflew and tore the bridges. The flock was stuck in the river and Todor was crying helpless on the coast. Then Rogusha led the flock thru the water and in his gratefulness Todor promised to gild her horns and hooves. The lamb asks him, why he sold his mother to the butchers. Todor starts to play sadly on his copper pipe and cry regretfully.

* Shipka is a top in the mountain Balkan; there was an epic battle for our freedom.
** Haidutin = a member of small unprofessional military unit during Osman slavery.
*** Voivoda = a captain of small unprofessional military unit during Osman slavery.
**** Haha, I just realize how this translation sounds in Bulgarian. eBulgarians, let this stay between us – don’t comment about it, please. 😃
