Wilhelm Gunter for PP of the CPF

Day 1,119, 19:34 Published in Canada Canada by Wilhelm Gunter

With the declaration of my candidacy for the Canadian Progressive Front, there are a few compelling – I hope! – reasons why I believe I should be the next PP of this storied party.

The Blue Moose has in the past been known for its sandpaper-like agitation. Sandpaper can be painful, uncomfortable, and downright annoying. It can rub a person the wrong way (pun intended!) But when finished its work, it brings forth a smooth, pleasant touch – it accomplishes its goal. I aim to bring this back. The Canadian Progressive Front will be a force in Canadian politics. Yet, diplomacy also has its place – playing nice can also bring great dividends. Knowing when to employ which method is the key. I hope I can learn this quickly!

Integrity is something important to me. One’s word is important to me – and it should be trustworthy. You can expect my ‘yes to be yes’ and my ‘no to be no’. There won’t be any duplicity here. I will play by the rules – I will not cheat, and I expect my team – my party to follow this as well, although admittedly, there is little I can do to ensure this, other than lead by example.

Family & Diversity. The Canadian Progressive Front has been known for it’s family like atmosphere. We care and nurture each other, and from time to time, we fight with each other. But even in our fights, we know that at the end of the squabble, we will set our differences aside, embrace each other and then march side by side into battle against our common foes. We compose a wide variety of people – from Spencer Magee, our Party Lulz specialist, to the quiet types who plug away in virtual anonymity like Exalted Druid, to the active types like Funky Hum24n and Aeriala. We have members of the CAF and Crimson Order, as well as our homebred Preators. Nothing will change here, except to reinforce these distinctives. The Canadian Progressive Front shall be known as more than a political party, but also a Brotherhood.

Media & Visibility. One area which the Canadian Progressive Front has lacked recently is a media presence. While we have been busy and active, we have not been seen to be – and the appearance is sometimes more important the fact. With Ads and articles, under my leadership, the Canadian Progressive Front will be seen to be a party of ideas, action, and results.

Commitment & Activity. A leader must lead. He or she must stake out a path and convince others to follow. But a leader must also serve. I pledge time and effort in leading the Canadian Progressive Front. I will strive to be the most active member of the party, in terms of time and effort put forth. I will serve the interests of the party, and of its members – and by doing so, I will ensure this also serves the best interests of eCanada.

On Wednesday December 15th, vote Wil-at-the-Helm Gunter for Party President of the “Blue Moose” Canadian Progressive Front.
