Why a vote for the MDP now is a vote wasted

Dia 1,778, 07:14 por Foxfire

As Poland breaks through our front gate and trounces through our flower garden we have but a few moment to take stock of how we got here today.

Wally wally oxen free...

Our MDP CP this month, Wally Clever turned out to be the biggest two-clicker of all eRepublik forcing Canadians to play a game of Where's Waldo . While Canada needed a CP to build new bridges and alliances with other countries, Wally over stimulated himself into a complete comma of inactivity sitting on his thumb. Even his own VP has completely written him off

“Wally Cleaver could care less so whatever issues you have to talk to the CP about, contact me instead.”

Which way do we shoot?

This is the quality of candidates that you can expect from the Manipulating Dictatorship Party (MDP). Excuse me. Military Dictatorship Party. Though I can't escape the irony that every time we have MDP CP the whole country gets its military butt kicked.

Rylde (MDP) ticks off USA. USA beats us like a rented mule.

Wally (MDP) falls asleep. Poland sneaks in through the hole in the wall where our MPPs use to be.

I think some re-branding is in order for the MDP. Green Peace and the Salvation Army make better military plans than these guys.

If another MDP CP is elected I foresee that Mexico is going to hop over the USA and start doing a Siete Pecados dance all over our maple syrup. Arriba, arriba!... Andale, andale!

What's a dictatorship to do with no dictatorettes?

MDP once again reached into its predictable bag of dusty tricks to pull out its yes-man candidate of the month. Please welcome to the race, Venerable… not wait. That's the next months CP candidate currently being groomed into a respectable front-man, aka puppet-king. (Rolo still crys a little each night about losing his favorite Rylde puppet). No, instead they've dug up and dusted off Simon Boucher-Ruest.

With all the smooth charisma of sandpaper, Simon Boucher-Ruest doesn’t have a diplomatic bone in his body. It’s just more of the same with the MDP. They have completely given up and the country knows it. Rolo can't even bribe his way to an election win anymore. (Oh wait, there he is reaching for his credit card. Ho ho, challenge accepted).

What we really should be asking is why they haven’t put forward Mary Chan or Homer J Simpson. These two are powerhouses of leadership and the backbone of the party yet they keep sticking to the backbench. Why? Such a lost opportunity in a party grasping at straw men.

Even the iceberg is sinking

So to all current players still currently in the MDP party I say this:

THE SHIP IS GOING DOWN! SWIM FOR YOUR LIVES! LEONARD ISN'T SAVING A LIFE BOAT FOR YOU. GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!

I thank you for your time today. Now if you would excuse me the Polish are at the front door.

I have zero personal problems with SBR, as he's proven himself to be one of the most trust-able people in Canada.

But I'm not going to vote for someone who can't stay more than 25 days...my ideal term is 2 months after all, and the Coalition's track record in government is probably the worst of any one specific party that to reward that would be a mistake. Simon's month to run was last month.

SBR earned the MDP nomination because he has the biggest johnson of all the CP candidates in this country.

Wally's second term lived up to the standard he set in his first term. Anyone who is surprised or disappointed in his performance should GTFO or wake up and smell the coffee.

I used to think ok maybe the mdp could be useful this term.
I need to quit getting my hopes up.
This just reassured me most( not all as that would be a terrible assumption) hat the MDP can't do anything productive.
Now move over and let EPD do his thing.
Good stuff foxfire

"Wally's second term lived up to the standard he set in his first term. Anyone who is surprised or disappointed in his performance should GTFO or wake up and smell the coffee."

Ever wonder why Wally didn't even get a third of the total votes? Most people didn't even vote for him, but no, let's blame everyone for the coalition's failure.

Plugson Dia 1,778, 11:11

The two leading candidates from the last CP election faded from the game this month. The majority of eCanadians who voted chose the lesser options.

Nevertheless, we still have a surprising number of parties endorsing what will be another CP who fades from the game partway through.

It's like there's a group of players out there that want to see us lose at this game. I find this likelihood quite believable.

"Our MDP CP this month, Wally Clever turned out to be the biggest two-clicker of all eRepublik forcing Canadians to play a game of Where's Waldo"

Before the election everyone said that would happen, even Wally said that's what he'd do. After the election Wally again said that he would do nothing and disappear, then he did. Does anyone actually read these articles and/or comments? Surely the populace can't be that stupid. Or perhaps, they truly are. SBR's "sandpaper" charisma is what makes him

Uncorporated Dia 1,778, 11:53

great for politics. He doesn't sugar coat bullshit and will tell you exactly what you need to hear, not what you want. Unfortunately, you should've elected him months ago. Now is not the time.

I should also add Rylde was a great CP. He did exactly what he said he'd do. Our citizenship and economy saw it's first boost in over 6 months. The USA LOLwar showed that the vast majority of them are brothers in arms to the end and started a nationwide political shift down there. Rylde's month was fun.

Pretty simple really, neither of us have asked for the nomination.

Homer J Simpson

And if either of us did run then most people outside the coalition would probably just replace Simon's name with ours in what you wrote.

I'm gonna echo what a lot of comments before me said.

"What we really should be asking is why they haven’t put forward Mary Chan or Homer J Simpson."
Echoing Homer: MDP has enough sense to consider that I don't want the CP chair.

Rylde was awesome as CP. It was awesome, I enjoyed his terms and have no criticisms against it.

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Dia 1,779, 06:17

"Military butt kicked": bound to happen regardless.

In response to "Where's Waldo?" Wally is still around, two-clicking. Heck, he made an MPP proposal yesterday. At least he's around, but chooses to ignore things. Whereas for Tyrael Snow, he's not active at all due to his lack of computer. When it comes down to gameplay, Wally is accessible (even if it's only to me), and Tyrael (Clan Wolf) isn't.
I added the party association because you felt the need to do so for MDP.

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Dia 1,779, 06:24

Simon is reasonable and trusting. If anything, I'd expect his CP term to turn out more like Rylde's, which I'm PERFECTLY okay with (:

As for internal MDP politics, I fully support Venerable for Dictator. Awesome guy, just like some other MDP members.

Leo Balzac
Leo Balzac Dia 1,779, 07:38

As much as you want to pretend Foxfire, you're more like the people you attack than not. Has Wally gone MIA as CP, kind of. Did he say he wasn't going to do much as CP, yep. Revisionist history is fine, but it's usually the victor who gets to write it.

The thing you fail to see, Foxfire, is that eCan is going to lose when they toe to toe with ANY available enemy. You guys are a small nation, and numbers is all that really matters in this game.

Venerable
Venerable Dia 1,779, 08:20

This is merely stereotypical trash talking.

Clearly you know nothing of SBR because, as many of your cohorts admit, he is a fine fellow with a VERY reputable past. You also know little of game mechanics and lasting effects, because the Rylde term before he had to leave was fantastic.

You also aren't considering that other parties have had fail CP nominations/winners.

In short, you're the worse kind of propaganda author. Which Leo pointed about above me.

Venerable
Venerable Dia 1,779, 08:22

Wally was a bad president nominee. We all knew this. We just didn't actually think the rest of eCanada would sit back and let him get elected. Well, Canada proved us wrong again.

But hey, his graphics were cool, so maybe that's all that matters.

Oinyo
Oinyo Dia 1,779, 08:40

Homer.. I seriously doubt this article would have been made if your name was in the running.

Do not underestimate the amount of respect you have earned.

I am too new to know of the past so I cannot make any meaningful comments on the groups in question but I can say that Tyrael had some very VERY serious personal issues pop up so he informed us he was going to reflect on life and gather himself for a while before he comes back.

Oinyo
Oinyo Dia 1,779, 08:43

Please do not talk down about his activity in the last month. If you did not know then that is ok. now you somewhat do. He will not be around for a while but when he comes back he will have the full support of us active members in his pack.

Quimbie is doing a great job in his absence and is on daily providing us with new ideas and helping moving the clan along. I am very proud to have him above me (I was running against him in the last elections) and respect him very much for his dedication.

" Whereas for Tyrael Snow, he's not active at all due to his lack of computer. When it comes down to gameplay, Wally is accessible (even if it's only to me), and Tyrael (Clan Wolf) isn't. "

Not true. Tyrael is much more active than Wally. Tyrael is here everyday he just don't feel the need to notify every eCanadian about his presence.

"Clearly you know nothing of SBR because, as many of your cohorts admit, he is a fine fellow with a VERY reputable past. "

I agree.

Mochan Drust
Mochan Drust Dia 1,779, 08:48

"You also know little of game mechanics and lasting effects, because the Rylde term before he had to leave was fantastic."

Yeah you are wright, I remember that he did..... Oh wait wrong president. Rylde didn't do anything. I cannot consider doing nothing a fantastic thing.

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Dia 1,779, 09:49

To be clear, I'm not playing down Tyrael's character, his activity is due to his situation, if anything, Wally's character is below Tyrael's due to his selective ignorance and involvement. I am aware of some of the things Tyrael is going through.

But in terms of availability as a CP, Wally is more available for me to call on as a button pusher than Tyrael. It would be fine with me if Wally was impeached IF Tyrael was as responsive as Wally has been to me.

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Dia 1,779, 09:55

Are you kidding?!? Rylde was up to be Terra SG! Forget leading eCanada alone, he was up to lead a core group of allies before the alliances broke apart. Executives of other countries thought he was awesome!

Plugson
Plugson Dia 1,779, 10:23

Rylde could get a lot done. I just never understood why he had to behave like an a$$hole while doing it. Turned a lot of people off.

It's likely Terra would have broken apart and Canada would have been on the outs with the USA no matter which CP we had. I just don't think Rylde was the right person to have in the hotseat while a shift in alliance politics went down.

Our image suffered and now we are in a 4 member dead/dying alliance. We needed pro-active leaders in the last 3 months

Plugson
Plugson Dia 1,779, 10:27

SBR won't be pro-active since he is on his way out and has no long-term plan. Wally was not, involved so far as I can tell in building foreign relations, but at least his VP was (thanks Mary) and FA team (thanks Jacobi and Shoi).

We REALLY need to get a CP who can head a reliable and communicative Cabinet so that we can muster together some allies before we go further up sh!tcreek all on our own.

There's a lot of ability in eCanada and we need leaders who can organize our potential.

Rolo Tahmasee
Rolo Tahmasee Dia 1,779, 11:00

You people are all Fools

Wally's inactivity is directly due to ensuring Mary Chan acts as CP

She would never run for CP directly, so this plan was hatched up last month for lulz, so Mary would be CP, even indirectly....

and so Mary has acted as CP all month, while Wally pushes the buttons

@Mochan: I think Rylde is awesome, as well as a few others who already expressed their thoughts in these comments.

I think the smartest, (probably the most cunning) eCanadian is Rolo, but I don't want him as CP lols.
PS: Plugson, you're a great candidate to be CP. There are more attributes besides intellect that makes a great CP candidate and I think Plugson has these attributes.

Wally's run as CP was a "ruse" - really? That's the lamest excuse I've ever heard. That's almost as lame as "thanks for firing me, I never wanted the job in the first place". I respect SBR, but guys, can we have some real candidates out there - people who really want to get this team into shape and not for LULZ or crap like that? Would you want to play on a hockey team where a capable and talented goalie decided to leave the net and carry the puck to see if he could score just for "LULZ"?
