Day 1,756, 01:47 Published in Canada Canada by Shoi12

Welcome to another edition of the eRepublik Power Rankings! Here are the rules; the efforts of the top five countries this week will be recognized, and the five worst performances will be mocked, no exceptions! Countries are recognized for many things, including successful defending, securing strong alliances, and, of course, conquering rivals. Without further ado, let's begin!

WINNERS

1 (1) Croatia

Serbia may not have given their all in suppressing the revolts, but it wasn't a pushover either. Still, Croatia completed all their deals with poise and precision, swapping occupied regions with Slovenia and navigating through India with no hitches. Despite an unfortunate loss in Thailand, Croatia can look to freeing Malaysia in the near future and begin a pursuit of Serbia. Along with the inevitable showdown in Iran, Croatia stands ready to take on their worthy Serbian foes with all their regions for the first time in many months.

Week rating: 9.4/10

2 (H2) Chile

Chile spent little time weeping over leaving their mountainous land behind and powered ahead into Australia, thanks to a mischievous plan hatched by them and New Zealand. With the path closed by New Zealand and friendly Indonesia to the north, Chile has Australia all to themselves, and they're yapping up lands left and right. Despite some early difficulties holding down revolts from liberators, Chile has kept the initiative regardless, and has looked hard to beat, often grabbing huge early leads. It's hard to deny Chile's success.

Week rating: 8.9/10

3 (B1) Bulgaria

Not huge territorial gains. In fact, Bulgaria just came back from utter humiliation a few weeks back in Argentina (don't say it was planned, because it wasn't). But Bulgaria came back to a home in shambles and made the most of it. They recaptured their four eastern provinces, and after a few revolts funded to the max, finally reclaimed Greece's holding in western Bulgaria, including capital Sofia. Now that Bulgaria is re-established in the Balkans, Greece can no longer attack Serbia directly, relieving some of the threat. Things look good for both ONE and Bulgaria.

Week rating: 8.4/10

4 (NR) Germark

Germark's shown that it can work with former enemies before, and their support of Sweden is one more example. After some proxy RWing in Berlin and Pomerania, Germark has recovered two more of their original lands, holding onto them until Sweden decides to reclaim them. But for the meantime, Germark has two old territories back, and has started a campaign to push Lithuania off of Swedish lands, boldly attacking the ABC nation while even Russia has remained officially neutral. (It's ok, Russia, maybe next time) And with lackluster defense on the Lithuanian side and large stacks of weapons waiting to be used, Germany looks to rebuild some of its former Teuton glory.

Week rating: 8.1/10

5 (B2) Belarus

Belarus, welcome back! Now don't leave again! With some major help from the Swedes causing a distraction, Belarus narrowly lost in Lithuania but overthrew their oppressors in Latvia, and proceeded to attack the nation they had just beaten in revolt. Although Belarus failed to make any headway into Latvia prime, they likewise held off Latvia's half-hearted attempt to retake the north. Belarus is the main war front, and with Germarkian troops coming from the west and Swedish troops holding their own in the north, the support is there for Belarus to recapture provinces fallen to Lithuania. Go Belarus!

Week rating: 7.4/10

Honorable Mentions: Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina

LOSERS

Just barely good enough: Ireland, Latvia

B5 (NR) Serbia

Serbia went all-out in Turkey, and to give them credit, they succeeded. But they failed to hold down their Croatian and Bosnian regions, and they paid for it in full, as Serbia lost ALL its colonies, save for the region in Iran. While it's understandable that Serbia didn't focus on the Balkans, the ease in which even little Bosnia recaptured all of its land in a week must be worrisome, even though Serbia did keep its main front up. Serbia is under imminent invasion threat, and is one false step away from losing all its progress in Iran. Serbia lives on the edge, and it doesn't wanna look down...

Week rating: 3.4/10

B4 (NR) Sweden

Sweden took one for the team, but you can't deny that it sucks to be them right now. Acting as a decoy to help Belarus escape Latvian control, the Swedes sadly became ABC's next target, as both Latvia and Lithuania have started their attacks on Swedish turf. While the worst of the invasion seems to be over, as Sweden has begun to receive support and is winning a few resistance wars, the Swedes have a lot of work to fully purge both nations from their lands.

Week rating: 2.9/10

B3 (NR) Greece

Greece was given one mission this week, to defend their two Bulgarian provinces from the zealous revolts. While Greece survived a few close calls early on, they finally gave in to the enormous pressure of the invaders. Greece had plans to help an invasion of Serbia, but after that fell through, Bulgaria came in and snatched their lands back to their side. Although not a death blow by any means, Greece undeniably failed its lone goal, and possibly may have crippled any future invasions.

Week rating: 2.4/10

B2 (NR) Turkey

But Turkey didn't lose any lands! Turkey may not have lost any physical property, but they looked like mincemeat against Serbia. Despite overwhelming support from EDEN allies, Turkey was not able to hold off Serbia from reaching Iran, as Serbia simply did as they pleased. Turkey lost any important battles they needed to win, and only revolted back lands after Serbia had no more use for them, and even then they had quite a bit of trouble taking back the regions. Turkey has one last shot to redeem themselves by pushing Serbia out of Iran, otherwise it's another Turkey-Bulgaria war. Another.

Week rating: 1.7/10

B1 (NR) Australia

It's not just the utter betrayal and deception by New Zealand and Chile. It's the fact that they're plain screwed. They don't have any allies to come to their rescue, supplies have not helped, and they haven't won a single battle to regain initiative. Australia has already lost half its area, and Chile shows no signs of stopping. Save for an airstrike to liberate the nation, it seems very unlikely that Australia will make it out alive if full forces don't come soon.
