Weapons price analysis, UPDATED

Day 2,079, 07:41 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Elvis Trout

This is an analysis of weapon price in terms of how much bonus damage they get you.

These are the current prices (averaged for the first cheapest 100 weapons on the market)

Q1 0.53
Q2 1.00
Q3 1.39
Q4 1.96
Q5 2.50
Q6 3.62
Q7 9.22

and this is the power and durability of each weapon

Damage% duration
Q1 20 1
Q2 40 2
Q3 60 3
Q4 80 4
Q5 100 5
Q6 120 6
Q7 200 10

Now if we look at cost per hit (this is the cost of 1 hit with each weapon) things have certainly changed since last time. Q3 is cheapest, and Q5 is cheaper than Q1.

cost per hit
Q1 0.53
Q2 0.50
Q3 0.46
Q4 0.49
Q5 0.50
Q6 0.60
Q7 0.92

However when we look at the damage you get for what you spend the picture changes.

cost per 1% damage
Q1 0.027
Q2 0.013
Q3 0.008
Q4 0.006
Q5 0.005
Q6 0.005
Q7 0.005

Q5, 6 and 7 are all joint cheapest.

What this means:

My last article was pretty simple to write up, the answer was sell any weapons you have and buy Q7. Nowadays with Q7 prices up so high there are times when it makes more sense to stick with a lower quality.

If you produce Q5/6 and even after selling your weapons cannot afford Q7s for all your fights, just fight with what you have.

If you produce Q1-4 just buy the highest Q you can whilst making sure all your fights are with a weapon, maybe even use a combination.

If you produce no weapons and cannot afford Q7 for all your fights, fill in the gaps with Q6/5

That's all from me, stay tuned for Weapon Company profits analysis,

Hurrah for reusing old spreadsheets!
