We are the Republik

Day 2,208, 18:15 Published in Canada Canada by Ralph Kline

This morning I read a article by an American player, Piginzen. I enjoyed it as I do many others for the spur of the moment honesty that he offered and I encourage you to read it here. The trouble I had though, is that I was irritated by a simple fact that he presented, and I quote " this article is about a personal reflection and my little reaction to the real-life news of the day. Which means it might not stick around. So be it, I understand how this works."

As I drove to work, the idea that the article might be deleted for the reason that it did not have content that was game related enough really dissapointed me. Mostly because I wanted to read it again, as I had rushed through it this morning and I believe anything worth reading is usually worth reading through a few times. As it is, the article remains and I got my chance.
That done, I had to think of the question of why we reserve ourselves from not putting forth more of what would truly make this a better game. The real world connections to events that effect our lives, our culture. The potential for real discussion of real things! A break from the repetitive drivel that passes the moderators eye. I do believe it goes unnoticed unless reported by someone.
So why not? Why not write about what you think of Toronto's fat-ass crackhead? Why not express your thoughts on how global warming must be bs because of how cold it is outside your door. I think unless it is full on porn, pretty much anything is fair game. Why not! Really, why not!
Taste great-less filling?
Real or silicone?
Oilers or Flames?
Dogs or Cats?
Please, no more cats.
Point is, don't hold back because you might get tattled on or get a forfeit point for content. Bring life to the game and the game will come back alive. Many already do, guys like Homer, Crisfire and SRP with the Chive redheads.
So if you get in a bit of shit, so be it, you understand how this works....
