Venezuela Occupies Mexico + Karnataka Update

Day 924, 10:51 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

Things haven't been looking good for Mexico ever since their congress got PTOed by a group of Spaniards and other EDEN nations last week. Over the past couple of days the PTOers have already managed to steal 5,000 MXN (120 gold) from the Mexican treasury and are currently trying to pass a donation of 1,100 MXN (26.4 gold) in congress. On top of that the PTO group has also raised income taxes from 9% to 30% and blocked any legislation that legitimate Mexican congress members have tried to pass. The worst is going on right now though, as the PTO group is trying to raise the Mexican minimum wage from 1.2 MXN to 50 MXN. This will surely kill off most Mexican businesses and could force a lot of true Mexicans out of the country in order to find work. This would help the PTOers out greatly since if the true Mexicans all leave then it would be much easier for them to have their presidential candidate win and have complete control of the country. Even if their candidate only came in 2nd their congress could still impeach the guy who won and have their candidate take over.

To counter this, the Mexican government has agreed to temporarily merge with Venezuela in order to remove the PTOers from power and kill their chances of taking the presidency of Mexico. Venezuela will now control Mexico for the next couple of weeks and will likely let one Mexican region free on the 23rd or 24th so that the real Mexicans can try and regain congress. Once the Mexicans are able to take back their congress and kill the PTO threat Venezuela will likely hand over the rest of the regions to Mexico and the new congress can work on reversing some of the harmful legislation that the PTOers have passed.

The only thing Mex-Ven has to worry about is the fact that now any country can attack the Mexican regions and not activate a string of MPP. With Portugal, Spain, the U.S., and Colombia all bordering Mexican regions in a country with a little under 4,000 people one of those countries could easily invade (maybe not Colombia) and hold onto the regions without heavy resistance. Still the odds of this happening are very unlikely because it would make the invader look really bad if they were to take over a country that had already been PTOed and there really isn't anything in Mexico worth taking and countries like the U.S. are more concerned about protecting and expanding their regions in Asia than kicking a Latin American country while it's down. However, the fact that EDEN nations were the main source of the PTOers has to be some concern for Mexico.

Now for a quick update on the Karnataka situation. Reports are that talks between the presidents of India and the U.S. have been going well over the past couple of days and the current rent agreement has been extended for a week. This likely means that if the region is handed over that it will not happen until after the next presidential election. The American president has said that he will respect India's wishes but he maintains that the region is better off in American hands. As of right now only one of the American presidential candidates, Killing Time, has come out and said that he would hold Karnataka against India's will. Other than that it appears that all the presidential candidates, from both India and the U.S., would be willing to go through with an agreement to hand Karnataka over.
