Why I should be in Congress next month.
Media Activity
I was the second most active Congressman in the media in the last month, I was only beaten by Max Blue who is the President and bloody should be the most active! Now I'm not saying that EVERY Congressman has to be media active, they could be doing all sorts of other things. However we do need some media active Congressmen and I've been the best one, posting weekly updates on what we are doing and regular articles on current events.
I've experimented with the tone of my articles a little to see what works and is most popular. My first weekly congress update was long, detailed and serious. People hated it, the comments were pretty awful. I went full sarcasm for the second and it entertained people a little more, but I think it was too negative and too much the other way. My third had a balance between the two and I'm quite happy with it, expect more consistency in tone next month!
Law Votes
I voted on all of the laws like everyone says they do, obviously some don't bother but it's impossible to prove the culprits! Other Congressmen will tell you that I have been active in the Congress discussions.
I did propose lower taxes to the minimum at 1% and this was passed, this would be the number one achievement of my term in Congress. With yet another theft from WayneKerr last month there really is no point giving the Government any of our money.
Policies
I have been consistently arguing for:
*Minimum Taxes
*Democracy not Dictatorship
*Treasury Thieves should be hanged.
I'll be voting to keep taxes as they are and continuing to call out Wayne/Adastros for the traitorous ways.
On the Dictatorship, you can see my arguments against in my previous articles. Since one of my main arguments is the cost, I'll support Scarfar as Dictator since it doesn't cost us any money to do so, but won't fight to keep him in. If he starts being a dick or hands Dictator over to a dick, I'll be arguing and tanking against that as that would be my other main argument against.
Party
I would like to take more part in TUP. I think that the party can benefit from taking advantage of my advertising budget and article quantity a little more. How about some TUP banners and links in these? More focus on TUP policies? Let me know what you need guys!

I agree with this... taxes just need to cover the cost of MPPs and COs.
The only solution I could think of was my Guardian Angel scheme, where money is handed to the most trusted players instead of acting CPs
Yeah that COULD work. There is a danger that they go inactive though and you lose it.
The Government used to own 100s of companies and they were either lost of stolen so now we have none.
Well say 10 people are chosen.
it will not hurt us if one goes inactive or one decides to steal. Its basically a way of spreading our eggs. Those chosen could have a logo on their avatars to identify and the money can be checked monthly by asking for donation and sending it back etc.

'taxes just need to cover the cost of MPPs and COs.' along with some money for TG loans/grants, I agree. Though the big problem is that even a relatively high tax rate will not provide enough money for COs should we get into proper fight, they are massively expensive

There is an element of truth in this statement. I have an idea which may reduce the risk of rogue individuals running off with the contents to the Treasury - which I will post later today...
