The Last Three Ministries

Day 2,085, 23:23 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Carlini8

Hello all,

I know it is a bit late because voting ends in 40 mins but here is a quick overview of the last three ministries. I will be writing another article later on today as long as I don't lose 300 odd votes to multies!

The MoF

I obviously know a little bit about the MoF. Having done this for 7 and a bit terms now I think it is something that probably needs a fresh pair of eyes to keep it moving forwards. I was getting very same old same old in this role and I need a top class MoF to give it that step up.

During this term emphasis will be pushed on a cheap term. We currently have the lowest amount of cash we have ever had since I started playing this game. We can't keep spending it all! While cheap doesn't mean boring, it does mean we will have to think about everything we spend our money on. Taxes will be reassessed by the new MoF as we struggle to pay for MPPs without money from our orgs getting put into our Country Accounts.

Our finances will remain completely open and public spreadsheets will continue to be used for those interested.

Now, for my big reveal...

The MoH

The Ministry of Health is a ministry that I really want to push this month. While the current team have done great at what they have done I feel there is a larger area for it all to grow. I have seen the hard work first hand as they have ensured that all food has been delivered on a daily basis to all members of the scheme (since the new leadership of the MoH). I was in discussions with Cotton to be the MoH again and talking about how we could improve the Ministry. Sadly Cotton has had to pull out from this role due to personal reasons so I will be looking over the next few days at who will be the MoH. Luckily I have a term of individuals who are keen to get to work and hopefully we shouldn't miss out on any food drops. There may just be a little bit of delay before we can push a few new things out.

I had written down many of my plans for this ministry when I began my run. Now, unfortunately it is just going to look like I am copying this new BUPA scheme run by the TACO alliance.

I don't want the NHS just to hand out food. I would like them in time to also hand out lower grade tanks and to also PM all members to inform them of guides, current information and maybe a few government articles. How we push this forward will be something I discuss with the selected MoH and the MoH team once I have settled on who that will be.

The MoFA

I will be fairly blunt and say this is the ministry I have very little knowledge of. In past games my diplomacy skills have pretty much been the only reason I played. I used to play the game Tribal Wars, a linear game (this one is cyclical) in which diplomacy was the key to your tribes survival. I was heavily involved in the diplomacy of the world and was normally very successful (My Tribe won World 11). This is not something I have had an interest in much for eRepublik and my lack of MoFA experience is why I have not run for CP in the past.

Luckily I have two heavyweights of the diplomacy world to back me up in this situation.

Talon Karrde and Jamesw have both agreed to head up this Ministry for me. Between them they have 10 Country Presidential medals and have been heavily involved in many alliances. They are both keen to improve others skill in the MoFA and are always looking to teach others.

Summary

This is a quick run through of what my Ministries will be doing. It seems a bit of a waste to go heavily into what they will be doing when the voting is almost over and they will be telling you all themselves shortly! I have asked my Ministries to prepare reports for the first few days of the term to let you all know what I am going to be doing.

I am looking forward to this coming month immensely and ensure you all that I will be putting in 100% to do my best for the eUK. I hope it is good enough!

Cheers,

Carlini
