The Irish Citizen Army: Refresh

Day 1,721, 16:00 Published in Ireland Ireland by orangejuicemmm

Hello new and old ICA members

For the last year or so the ICA has pretty much dominated in Ireland. Many believe it is because we're the mafia and have the ability to kill people we don't like etc etc etc but the actual fact of the matter is the reason we were so prominant in Ireland in every manner was because we were excellent at what we did. We were the best at playing the game. The superior group will always face opposition from the people who either weren't good enough to make the cut or the people who just opposed any sort of progress because
of personal opinions.

We (the ICA) have always had this opposition from the outside but what has allowed us to remain so strong regardless of anything said or thrown at us was our closeness as a group. We, for most of our life, have been a small Military Unit but a very close one. At one stage I knew all the members personally and could tell you a lot about them but unfortunately arrogance or apathy from the original commanders (including myself) began to show. We didn't care about efficiency, we didn't monitor our supplies, we just sat back and enjoyed life at the top. But it was inevitable that something would go wrong or something would snap and it did.

Now we are not only facing problems from the outside but also the inside which is completely unknown to us. Loyalty has always been our strong point. But in the space of 10 days the ICA history was forgotten and people started doing their own thing, what was best for them and not the ICA. It started with the IRC, one too many people with Ops made things very messy, too many big ego's with different opinions.

I don't know what happened because I was away on holidays but people who I would have a lot of respect for and previously would have put ICA above almost anything are leaving and making new Military Units or joining different ones or w/e. To me I would never leave the ICA regardless of how bad it got, our history is just too great to let it fall so easily. Now I am not happy or pleased with those who left when the going got tough but I understand how hard it is too see something you worked so hard for begin to fall apart so I have no grudges but all I ask is you come back. Come back home and help me rebuild the ICA to what it was. Help me make the ICA great again.

I was inactive during the past year with my leaving cert and I'm finishing up my job in a week so I will be trying my hardest to get everything back up and running but I can't do it on my own.

To the people who tried to help the ICA but faced problems from the old members I am sorry and want to thank you for everything you tried to do. It means a lot.

I wasn't around for what transpired so I don't know which "side" is telling the full story. All I know is I want the ICA back.
