[Mystery #1] The House That Bled
New Faustian Man
Fancy winning 5 Gold? Yes? Then follow the instructions below:
Watch this Youtube video by Rob Dyke, specifically the first unsolved mystery on the actual video -- then, in the comment's section below, give what in your opinion is the most credible explanation for wtf was going on in the 'House That Bled'.
The best explanation (according to me) wins 5 Gold (and the worst is going to be harrassed by the Phantom Whistler for the next 8 and a half years)

Minnie did a cheeky coathanger abortion and didn't let anybody know
A 79 year old? Hmmm, doubt it.
Apparently they were both deaf so, assuming the room they occupied wasn't used, it would have been easy to trespass and do pretty much w/e the trespassers wanted to do. Which seems exactly what person or persons unknown were doing. Tho I think there was a lot of blood found in the actual room they spent most of their time too.
Revised idea: A trespasser did a cheeky coathanger abortion.
Something like that is probably closest to the truth, perhaps not an abortion, but maybe the house was used for some type of surgery on someone injured or w/e
Think backstreet dentists https://youtu.be/fk9BykFOl0I ...
Ofc why there was so much blood in nearly every room in the house including the basement plus the lack of a forced entry is odd. And has me believing w/e went on was a bit more sinister than a coathanger abortion.
A wild animal got in when it was bleeding or brought a bleeding object into the home the animal would be quite small and creeped about the place and as the people are old they didn't hear too much.
5 gold should be heading my way
Case Solved
This is a good one. At first glance an injured animal (or perhaps injured person) jumps out as the simplest explanation, the problem being it was confirmed as human blood, and of a type that differed from both occupants. Also considering the sheer amount of blood found, whoever was injured/bleeding would have been in a critical state, so the idea someone shot or stabbed broke in and walked all around the house while bleeding heavily (and presumably passing out every now and again) just doesn't quite fit. The cops probably would've connected said person when they turned up dead or in a local hospital seeking treatment for their injuries with the "break in", but doesn't seem like they ever did.
The animal found a human arm
No signs of break-in by an animal (or otherwise), and no animal tracks detected in the blood + the amount of blood on the scene would mean that was one large arm and recently dismembered if it was still shedding that amount of blood. If we're talking an animal then we're talking something of the size of a dog to be able to carry it all over the place. Peculiar behaviour for a dog. The spatter marks and type of stains left behind plus no evidence like paw marks in the blood, makes me think an animal is unlikely however.
So I read up some more on it and here is some extra info I picked out of my readings:
- There were family problems between the Winston's and their children (not sure what)
- One of their children worked at a hospital
- Blood type O is the most common blood type and is used in most donations
With what you said about them possibly being deaf above, and the possibility the children had access to the house, I would guess the child who had hospital access purposely put the blood around the house to scare the Winston's. They would have easy access to blood. The blood type would be easy to obtain. The motivation (family problems) is there. The Winston's would have been asleep (and deaf?) so wouldn't have noticed someone in the house, especially since the child might not have had to break in.
Problem Solved.
No mention is made that any of their children (including the one who worked at the hospital) were mentally unhinged, which is built-in to your theory if your suggesting they stole blood and then doused it all over their parent's home. However the lack of any evidence of a forced entry (the children probably had keys) does back up your claim. I just feel the police would have been on to this very quick however, it was probably impossible to detect something like an amount of blood stolen from a hospital back then, but close family/friends are always the first to be suspected in situations like this that I'm sure the cops would have settled on the hospital working child if there was *any* suspicion of culpability. The police never did however, so I suspect an airtight alibi. And finally, family issues or not, and whether this was revenge or an attempt to scare their parents: dousing their home with blood is a very, very odd thing to do, for someone to dream up something like this you would suspect underlining issues, but if these existed in any of the children they never surfaced afterwards (or before afaik). I suspect if any mental problems existed with one of the children, responsibility would have been pinned on him/her long since, yet here we are...
Still, best theory thus far (without imo being actually correct)
Yeah, mines better than Rob's 🙂
I wont read too deeply into this because I want to get to sleep tonight - but sometimes people can appear mentally stable but do some very odd things. I don't know. Nobody on here is going to solve this case...
Maggishunter says, i don't like it.
He has kidney probs, He used donation blood type 0. Since he is old man he could forgot what he has done/maybe he had stroke or sth and he spilled blood all over the place.
A possibility, but how would he have got hold of that amount of blood type O? Like you say, he's an old man with kidney problems, and as blood isn't available freely or to buy anywhere, I don't see him breaking into the local hospital to get it.
Btw: He wasn't blood type O, nor was his wife.
Indeed, but type 0 is universal so he could have had it. About amount...I dont know the right answer for that tho.
Here's a few explanations:
- The house was infested with blood sucking bats who had a huge party,
- The house was female and it was on period,
- Not sure how, but it could be a Loch Ness monsta: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83bkpkCQu2Q
8 and a half years bro, 8 and a half years! 😃
