Join the new world

At the time when this happened, Christmas was coming and we were all expecting some promotions, even presents in eRepublik! However, our dearest Plato decided that nothing will be given free and this year there were not going to be any presents.
This made Santa Claus really angry, he used some of the gold that he was planing to send as gift to the good guys in the game and he created a Military Unit. Eventually he has began a Revolution in the eRepublik empire and thus the great Christmas battle began.



Of course, this battle wasn't going to be fair. Both sides declared each other for Natural Enemy(one of Santa's elves was a semi-good hacker and broke into the secret eRepublik source code, allowing Natural enemy to be declared during Revolution war) so everybody can use their bonus damage, but unfortunately only the members of the Plato's MU regiments could afford War Stash and respectively only they have received bonus Rank points! That's why Plato decided not to take any measures against the naughty hacker elf.

Rudolph, the captain of 1st regiment in Santa's MU, invested all the Gold that he has gathered for the disappointing Black Friday in ...Bazooka parts for the members, who were all D1 players without any packs, dealing less then 10k damage per hit with Q7 weapon.

The first few rounds were won by Plato's minions, while he was sitting on his comfortable chair, bibbling mulled wine with cinnamon, throwing money and listening to Fara numar. Everybody from his side was very happy and they were expecting the battle to end soon. However they were wrong...

Suddenly the Christmas miracle of 2015 happened, the hacker elf found another security hole in Plato's source code and changed the formula for Epic battles. It came out of nowhere to Plato and by the time he could stand and do something(he was a bit drunk from the mulled wine), it was already late. The new formula was based not on damage dealt in the battle, but on the kills made AND the battle could go EPIC for each side separately. This is the moment where Rudolph lead his regiment of D1 elves, fully armed with the bazookas, that their captain has bought them. The battle became epic really quick for Santa's side and this epicness brought everybody, who was still watching the battle and deciding which side to take. People are saying that even Lana made 25 kills for her DO on Santa's side.

Due to the epicness of only Santa's side, Plato's minions couldn't advance in the weekly challenge that fast, because they were reaching epicness only in the last few minutes of every round, when it was too late. This was the first time in eRepublik history, when the bazookas from the Weekly challenge were useful.

Few rounds later the campaign was won by Santa's side and Plato felt so bad after what he saw, that he decided to launch some great promotions and presents for Christmas. This was the first Christmas in years, where all eRepublik players were truly happy, playing this game. Eventually this was going to reflect on Plato and MAY BE he was going to finally turn to the Light Side of the Force, but... this is another story for another time.
