The Grail or the Gold: SFP Goes to the Movies #2 (Nov 29th @ 20:00)

Day 2,926, 19:43 Published in USA USA by Caute

Turkey Genocide Day is almost upon us and if there's one thing this SFPer is grateful for, it's 'Monty Pyton and the Holy Grail', which I'll be screening on Nov 29th at 20:00 for all eRep players interested in watching, chatting, and possibly winning some gold.

Hopefully, this event will allow some Americans to recover from potentially traumatic events if terrifying turkey-day tragedies of the past are any indication of what we have in store. (Although our friends abroad are more than welcome to attend too, if only to show their support in our hour of need.)

Now I could say something about how the upcoming holiday is, like so many of our other holidays, built on lies and fictions… but instead I'll allow that to segue into more interesting fantasies from across the pond, a collection of legends that have endured the test of time, the legends surrounding the one true king of Britons.

The Arthurian myths are some of the most fantastical in the Western world and while not relevant to the American holiday, it's somewhat relevant to 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', and more to the point these myths are relevant to the possibility of putting some gold in your coffers if you're familiar with them during our movie event.

Thanks to some rather generous donations from players both within and outside of SFP, we'll be having trivia questions worth 3 3.5 gold each for the first correct answer throughout the screening of the film. They'll be asked randomly over the course of the movie itself

While I won't penalize anyone for googling the answers, as I don't expect everyone to be a research scholar of Arthurian legends, but imaginary bonus points, and a rightful sense of personal satisfaction are yours if you can answer them without resorting to Professor Google.

So come out and join us the 29th, whether you seek the Grail or the gold.
