The Emperor of Erep: Part 2 of the Trilogy

Day 1,188, 19:07 Published in USA USA by S-Mac31

Here is part two of the chilling trilogy, The Emperor of Erep. Sorry for the delay!!

The cat was now out of the bag. Whether it was the right time to exert his power of not, the President had shown the full extent of his power. So they thought.

Everyone had their theories of who, or what their president was. Some thought he was an Admin gone awry with his power, others a player being paid thousands of RL dollars to hack the game. Regardless of what they thought, they kept quiet. Executions were held round-the-clock. Radical leaders, and long time players seen as threats were painfully given one last article to write. He then would take all of their gold, and permaban their account.

This forum post is now known in the new world as The post heard round the world

"You have all been made aware of what I can do. The American Constitution is hereby abolished. All congressmen will only be allowed to stay in their seats to vote yes to my proposals. If you vote no, I will find you. That is all.

Sincerely,
Emperor of Erep

Questions had to be answered. How could a this thing be stopped if he did not even abide by the physical boundaries of the game? He had more power than the admins, who had said nothing 2 weeks into his presidency.

One congressman knew he had to be smart. He was a six timer, but smart. Not a loudmouth, but people knew him as a respectful, centered man. He could not do anything in game, IRC, or forum related. He had to think.

He had phone numbers of three other congressmen. They decided on setting up a forum, simply for rebellion. They had to be wise in how they contacted people. They got 12 people set up on the forum.

The Emperor had no idea of the forum. He had no way of having it brought to his attention. He continued to rule ruthlessly, permabanning hundreds a day, and creating hundreds more multis under a bot.

The group of 12, calling themselves The League of Hope, because they felt they were the last hope for the game. They contacted a known bot creator, to tell them what their president was. He traced it back to the Erepublik HQ. The game has become corrupted from the inside. The meeting between the 12 ended with this:

"12 Tickets to Romania please."
