Join the new world

I'm going to be running for parliament in Otago in the Christmas election. Here's why Spud of Doom deserves your vote this month.

You can be assured that I have the best interests of New Zealand in mind at all times. As a RL Kiwi and non-politician until eNZ was added to the map, you know I am not here to represent any outside interest, and will only do what I believe is best for this country. I am not here to push us towards a major alliance, as I believe it is important for us to retain our independence, particularly with the fragile import/export base of our economy. I don't want our businesses and consumers to be disrupted by trade embargoes and wars that cut off our market supplies. I do not support eNZ joining EDEN nor Phoenix with our present situation.
That being said, I have a long military history and understand the importance of having active battles (not necessarily wars) and will be doing what I can to make sure the NZDF gets up and running smoothly again.

I want what is fair for everybody in eNZ, and do my best to take all angles of any given issue into consideration. I am a calm, fair negotiator and mediator, and I'm not an asshole. Yes, I think it's worth including that as a campaign point. I am choosing not to align myself with any particular group of players at this stage (except for having a lot to do with the other RL Kiwi players), since I believe everybody who has eNZ as their first priority in their political and military views deserves to be here. I don't agree with starting arguments or changing things for the sake of change, and want this country to be configured in the way which is most widely beneficial for our loyal citizens.

You will have no problem trying to contact me as a member of parliament (or even as a regular player) since I log in every day, and spend time lurking in IRC to keep up with what's going on. I will accept congress as a full personal commitment, and within eRepublik it will come above all other aspects of the game for me while I serve within it.
