So Long And Thanks For All The Fish
Oblige
Dear America
Edit, by Special Request: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojydNb3Lrrs the music.
As a whale President, there aren't a lot of positive ways for me to end my Presidential streaks. Usually there's a lot of moaning about me "hogging" the Presidency and then lots of jibber jabber about "tyranny" and "dictatorship" and yadayadayada.
This time however things have been a little different. After much soul searching and conversation with Josh Frost I decided not to see another term as President.
In fact, one of the primary purposes of this article is to serve as a ringing endorsement for Josh Frost as President. I find myself in the (uncommon for me) position of actually looking forward to another player taking the reigns.
The second purpose was to wax pontifical about these past two terms as President.
It's been a very difficult time for the country. The prolonged invasion by TWO, the betrayal by Brazil, strife over the work tax and so on, but I believe we had some very real accomplishments this term.
1.) Double victory over the PTO - first in PP elections and then again at Congressionals. We dealt them serious defeats and are now on track towards ultimate victory.
2.) Extreme revival of the Interior and Education departments under iRule777 and Tanishq respectively.
3.) Still the most rockin' media team of the past several years
4.) Ongoing success with the new NSC
5.) A continuation of the PP inclusiveness policy with the next administration
6.) Election of a USAF Spokesperson to help represent our Armed Forces from month to month
7.) I even wrote articles!
In conclusion, despite staying on as an Advisor next and potentially seeking a position in CoT you will be seeing a bit less of me than you may be accustomed to. I'm not leaving, not saying good bye, not going away, or even stepping down. This is simply my swan song for these two months and it is bittersweet.
All I can say is:
Comments
If I had just one last wish
I would like a tasty fish
If we could just change one thing
We would all have none to sing.
Good luck and thank you for all, I am no longer a U.S player but it was nice playing with you this past months, time change, life change but in the end everything will change.
It has only need hope, and not lose the will of fighting for what U.s.a believe.
shoulda made me MoD

eUSA was a great enemy, guided by you o7
Some really good strategy have been on the scene 😃
Continue like this, I hope Mr. Frost will do good job, cause it's what makes fun in game.

That dmg was that big cause of the missions. One question- if the fight is hard, should you surender? C'mon...
> 40M BH-damage was before the missions destroyed the last balance. I just reached GoW***, now I'm going into DO-mode waiting for better times, as many other players are doing. If David has nothing like a stone to hit Goliath there is no sense to fight.
Do you think that David considered a stone like an apropriate wepon against Goliath? 😃 Use your brain! Oblige have done a great stuff's- I truly hope that Josh will achieve as much it is possible. Never surender, cause with fight you have at least a possibility for win. With surender- it's all over. And, then again, why this geopolitical situation would not change? For example- why should eUSA and eSerbia be in never ending war? Its on diplomats... I am not saying anything (considering eUSA/eSerbia), its just an example... I dont know- and I do not need to know. Its on you guys to never surender and to find a way for win 🙂 I know my english is bad- but I hope you have figured out what I wanted to say. o7
I agree, if the geopolitical situation changes, the fun to fight could come back and I will wake up. 😉 But since I'm eUSA citizen, 1 1/2 years, the diplomatic skills of eUSA politicians were very bad. Remembering the destruction of Terra, fighting against EDEN and so on. 😉

I voted for you , Foolishly I voted for you twice you were a great President (not Scrabman great though) tbh , Taxes destroyed America in the end ,you fought PTO after PTO and you did it well but you alienated too many *working tax payers* . It's a shame the tax thing happened since at this point it's your legacy and pretty much all you'll be remembered by (Lets never forget Thatcher and her milk snatching ways)
Voted for awesome nerdy title tho 🙂
no President since has been Scrabman great
People who blame Oblige for the Work Tax are people who are misinformed, but unfortunately we can't reach everyone to let them know it's Congress, not the CP, that sets the tax, and that Oblige has stated he didn't support it.
another excuse talostastic maybe you should understand now what i meant by pissy. talo i am sure the president takes the fault for all the laws that go on i am sure he has full permission to stop them from going no one else to blame can't blame congress man no one else is the president's fault face the truth for once stop hiding behind excuses. you run the eUSA it does not go on anyone else but you always find something to hide behind anyways i am sure the main person who din't support the taxes was the AFA i am pretty sure that if the president could not veto it he could discuss it with them if he disagreed his opinion goes as a full 50% then come the congress man and everyone else. no need to cover his arse *facepalm*
John, there are no veto powers in eRepublik. So no, it couldn't be stopped. If you looked at the latest vote over the Work Tax, a reduction failed despite slimmer margins of votes.
Your poorly worded propaganda is painfully misleading.
Thanks!
o7.
You are the man!
u make me cry ;_; v

Voted just because of the Douglas Adams reference.
Oh, and the music they made out of it is highly addictive...

Good luck Mr. President o7
Done good. Until the next run. 🙂

I read that entire Douglas Adams book series. Great author and a recommended read for all. Thank God I dont have to do book reports anymore. I can read at my own pace and no writing about it. Guess I will always be a small fry in this game because while I enjoy reading I wouldnt writing articles.
not necessarily true. plenty of accomplished players don't even own a paper.
