This is a ticket I just wrote to Plato. If you are having the same issue, please vote this article and shout the crap out of it. There are now a lot of broken articles in the eRepublik media and it might be just the beginning. Some of the articles have a significant historical meaning for eRepublik, so something must be done. Vote and shout, please.

Hello.

A few days ago I noticed that images hosten on imgur.com no longer load in our articles. imgur replied 403 Forbidden, which is very likely a ban on the erepublik.com domain on that service.

According to their terms of service:
"don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network. If you do – and we will be the judge – [...], we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, [...] and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. We mean it."

If this is the case, there are slim chances to none, that we can get our images back. Currently a huge amount of articles are now crippled and most of them are also impossible to edit/fix.

Please consider an eRepublik CDN for images used in the media module. You can easily forbid hotlinking so others don't use them externally. This would be the best solution to handle media in the future, considering other services might have similar terms of service and there's nothing we (the users) can do about it.

P.S. For those who don't what the problem is, here's how an article looks without the images: Elite noob.
