Presidential Elections: Interviews with the Candidates

Day 2,722, 09:14 Published in Netherlands Slovakia by Willem The Conqueror

Dear Readers,

Soon, the presidential elections for the month of May will take place. I would like to wish the candidates good luck. Of course, as any other month, I have interviewed our candidates about their expectations for these elections. I hope you will read the interviews with joy. Here they come!
~Legendardisch - Democratisch Nederland~

1. Why do you want to be the next President of the eNetherlands?
I want to put the combined interests of the whole eNetherlands forward, and I will not bow for party politics, at most, I will not even tolerate it. I want to continue certain aspects of the current administration, like keeping things stable. I am also ready for the task, I have been in many governments and I know how things have to go.

2. What do you think of the current situation in the eNetherlands?
We are currently recovering from a divide inside our community, but there is still some unrest, we are also unified once again after months and months of occupation, which brings new problems to be solved. It's also the beginning of a new dictator, and we have to see on how it will go with the new constitution in place. All in all, we need to do some serious patch fixing and testing.

3. Are there any key problem(s) where the eNetherlands is struggling with?
The unrest between people and the overal 'hostility' between people and certain groups.

4. How do you want to solve these key problem(s)?
At first I wanted to introduce a new ministry, aptly named Ministry of Justice, however, a lot of people shared their concerns on the fact that it may not work, and all in all people were afraid of more 'control' I had a nice legislation in place and I hoped that the explanation would have given more insight, on the other side, it was a nice and much more effective way to conceive a consensus, and the people said no, So I listened and scrapped the plans.
I would however like to take a look at whats causing these issues between people, hiding behind 'political fights' is no longer a satisfying answer to at least me and I am certain that several people would agree with me on that. Some people may argue that it is not the task of a government to take a look, but in the end, it wouldn't hurt.

5. What's your opinion about the achievements of our current President?
Walhallah is a great president, and it surprises me that he didn't run again, because the I wouldn't have to. I think he has brought our relation with Belgium to a whole new level, I mean it took months to rebuild it after a fiasco of a war, He has achieved a lot, its no longer the time to rebuild, its the time to continue. and he firmly executed that.
Chapeau!

6. What would you have done differently?
Ofcourse not all things were great, I would have handled immigration better, I am not giving any names, but certain applicants would have been denied under my watch, and the MoHA this term was really, really inactive, I have never seen the MoHA on IRC aswell, I also think that MPP signing could have been done better, some MPP's conflict each other, and MPP's are seen as a way to measure friendship between countries.

7. Have you got anything left to say to the citizens of the eNetherlands?
Vote for somebody who is putting eNetherlands before himself rather than... himself. Do we need someone who would be willing to exchange his own dignity to get his will? do we need someone who has been in trouble in not one but two governments, one getting him to loose his job? do we need someone who would backstab our allies and talk with our invaders like nothing ever happened? do we need someone who would continue the politics of another man? Then if that is a no, you vote for me, I will and I shall put our common interests before that of mine and my party, I shall not backstab our allies and I will not talk with aggressors. So, citizens, I ask you to vote with common sense and not based on who is more popular and has given you a mountain of promises and gold.

~Kordak - Verenigd Nederland~

1. Why do you want to be the next President of the eNetherlands?
First of all I love my country a lot and I would do everything to protect it. I want to help my country on the right track, that's why I want to search for an alliance this month. We need stability over long period, not just this month. As president you have more authority over the process and you can work directly with other presidents to achieve something. Also the other candidate won't bring us stability and I am afraid of him becoming president. He preaches political peace and an end of fights, but he is playing dirty politics himself. We need someone more stable on the most important position in our country, someone that will always respect congress and their decisions.

2. What do you think of the current situation in the eNetherlands?
It is good to have our four core regions again and I think that we are safe at the moment. However this still is a war game and we have some allies that are still in trouble. We should focus on this friendship more and see if we can create a more stable region.

3. Are there any key problem(s) where the eNetherlands is struggling with?
We need to join an alliance, if we are part of an alliance again we know who to fight for and we will have goals again. Now we are just being neutral and we don't really know who to fight for. We need a vision that will lead us to fun and an alliance could give us that. Also there are some people that play dirty politics in our country. Can't do much about that, they will only get a bad name and that is their responsibility.

4. How do you want to solve these key problem(s)?
We need to take action and work hard to create an alliance or join one. We can make history this month if we all work together in finding ourselves a vision again. It will take a lot of work and conversations to make it happen, but I think that is worth every minute.

5. What's your opinion about the achievements of our current President?
Our president did it very well this month, his policies were on the right track. I worked a lot with him since I was the vice-president, so I can say that he did his best and worked very hard for it. He can end the month with a good feeling and I think we all can as citizens of eNL.

6. What would you have done differently?
Well I would not have done a training war I think, I prefer real wars if we really have to go fight. However I wouldn't risk our diplomatic relations for that of course. The other things I would have done the same I guess, but I have a different program that I will follow, so there will be some changes. For example with the new university project and my plans to invite people to eNL instead of waiting for applications only.

7. Have you got anything left to say to the citizens of the eNetherlands?
Vote with your heart and feeling.

That was it, the interviews with the presidential candidates. Please vote, shout, subscribe and endorse, that is much appreciated. Also: don't forget to vote tomorrow!
