Presidential election in eCroatia

Greetings, my fellow citizens! 🙂

Yet another presidential elections are behind us. The votes have been counted, the results verified by the voting committee and the newly-elected presidents are already assembling their governments, eager and ready to lead their countries to new victories.

In this article, I bring you a short overview of this month's presidential election in eCroatia, as well as their new president Thanatos the Magnificent and his government team.

(I was planning on publishing this article sooner, but couldn't due to RL commitments. So, here it is now. I hope I'm not too late!)

About the President

As you can see, the eCroatian favorite in this month's elections was Thanatos the Magnificent - a member of eHrvatska Stranka Prava (one of the biggest eCroatian parties)who triumphed with 55.56% of votes, 345 more votes than the runner-up Hrcozgb. In his official candidacy, (which can be viewed here) he describes himself as a " candidate of all eCroats", not representing a single party but the whole eCroatian nation. This is evidenced by the support of 3 major political parties ( Krug 13, VATRENI and Civilno drustvo).

Thanatos the Magnificent joined eRepublik on August 11th 2009, which makes him a fairly old player. He has experience in both political and military aspect, having served in the congress and the government numerous times. He has spent some time of his e-life outside eCroatia, in eIreland and eNetherlands. In eIreland, he had served as a congressman, eIrish millitary commander, MoD and eventually became their president. After the success in eIreland, he moved to eNetherlands, where he was also a congressman, part of the MoD team and a president as well. Following these successes, he returned to eCroatia, where he continued being politically active and was a part of the MoD team. Now, considering himself experienced enough and able to take on the presidential role one more time, he declared his candidacy, which was met with much success.

His main goal, as well as the goal of his predecessors, is the unification of eCroatia, both in political and military sense, as well as strenghtening of the eCroatian economy. He wants all eCroats to get along, look past their differences, fight and act as one.
