Poland and Hungary has signed peace

Day 671, 23:55 Published in Serbia Hungary by montaigne

Peace...at least in the minds and in the hearts.

The two nations top leaders decided to publicly announce their intention to play this game without hate, without "EPIC WIN"-s and "EPIC FAIL"-s not to mention other verbal pearls.

There were more things, which has contributed to get to this point:
a. IRL relations between Poland and Hungary are traditionally good, as I have already mentioned in a previous article.
b. Although Poland and Hungary were bordering each other during the game history, they never fought "EPIC WARS" against each other.
c. It was a willingess from both sides on state and private level to show an example to both sides about civilised behaviour.

No, Hungary does NOT join EDEN and Poland does not join PEACE. Non of the nations are betraying their allies. This act, which has been signed is only meant to be the basis of a future ethical standard.

Here are the links for the official POLISH and HUNGARIAN announcements:

The English version of the common statement is copied below:

"Official statement of the governments of ePoland and eHungary

After the recent wave of press releases in both eHungary and ePoland, our governments went to the conclusion that our mutual relations in eRepublik are indeed neglected. We both paid little or no attention to show each other proper respect, for which the real life relations between our countries are widely known.

We proudly announce, that eHungary and ePoland have finally agreed in one thing - the fact that we are members of two opposite alliances should not prevent us from trying to understand each other better.

The presidents of ePoland and eHungary, having regards to the necessity of cooperation in the New World and the possibility of working together, have decided to make the following mutual statement:

1. We consider this joint statement as a basis for improvement of our bilateral relations; as a sign of good will between us. The state of hostility between our nations is unnatural and we both wish to end it in the future. Membership in PEACE and EDEN should not be a reason not to maintain a warmer relationship.

2. We shall step over the past offences and focus on the future. It's time to forgive each other and renounce the past resentment. What's done, is done, and we should not get back to these faults.

3. We both hope to improve our relations in the future, despite fighting in opposite alliances, by showing proper respect to the other side. We may be the opponents in the current world war, but now there is a fundament to change it into a honourable fight, we both deserve.

4. We both hope we can establish a partnership, which will last just as long as our friendship in the real life.

From ePolish side:
President of ePoland, Andrew6w6
Minister of Foreign Affairs, witia (Qrwak)
vMinister of Foreign Affairs, Martinoz
vMinister of Foreign Affairs, Szopen

From eHungarian side:
Imre Norbert, President of eHungary
Pyrrhosz, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Tomi ur, vMinister of Foreign Affairs"

PS. I will NOT publish this article in other countries than Serbia. Why? Because I know, that those people, who should read it will find it even if I publish it in the Belgian (de facto non-existent) press.
