Plan for a New Congress, pt 2.

Maintaining and Strengthening Alliances

Right now the eUSA is aligned with EDEN and the BROlliance. While most of the nations of the BROlliance are included in EDEN, the recent addition of Ireland to the BROlliance makes it not just an alliance within an alliance but a new alliance all together.

Recently there has been an upsurge of anti-EDEN sentiment spreading throughout the eUSA. While EDEN may be deserving of the negative sentiment projected towards them (mainly Poland and Romania) leaving EDEN isn’t the answer to the problem. Changing EDEN into a force to meet the eUSA’s goals and needs, is the correct answer. So how does a new Congress adjust EDEN into being a force for the good of the eUSA?

1) Create a Foreign Media Relations campaign to educate other nations about the eUSA in a positive limelight. The campaign is simple, vote up positive eUSA newspapers within foreign countries, post advertisements to positive eUSA newspapers that feature the nation being targeted. This will create a general aura of friendship, brotherhood, and unity within EDEN countries rather than divisiveness.

2) Create an Ambassador program that works. Right now the Ambassador program is something of a mystery to the eUSA. The Ambassadors to EDEN need to post a statement probably every other day regarding the events between the eUSA and that Country. Too often the negative posting from other EDEN countries make the front page of eUSA news, and there is little positive official statements on the matter. While other EDEN countries need to be shown the eUSA in a positive limelight, the eUSA needs to be shown other EDEN countries in a positive limelight also. I would actually suggest a weekly press conference on thr IRC chat where the Ambassadors can be asked questions.

3) Establish Ambassadorship to EDEN. Right now the President is the standing speaker to EDEN and this person can change fairly frequently. There should be a point-of-contact person that doesn’t change often who can be a spokesman to EDEN for the eUSA and a spokesman of the eUSA to EDEN. Someone to bridge the gap in communications and ensure understanding and clarity on issues.

The same process and plan should be implemented for the BROlliance also. Especially with new additions such as Ireland.
