Official Stance on Official Things

Day 1,257, 22:44 Published in Canada Canada by Muglack

It's come to my attention that as a serious candidate for CP I'm required to write a platform for what my plans are as CP.

I don't like this. I don't like this at ALL!

So I'm not writing a platform. A platform is a small raised area so that the person standing on it can be seen by a small crowd

Not quite what I had in mind...

Long story short, that's not how I do. I don't want to make a platform. So I'm writing a STAGE!

Now where did I put that box of fireworks?

THAT'S HOW THE F@#$ I ROLL!

Military Policy:

The easy answer would be "Moar Funding". But I know it's not that simple. The other candidates will go for the cheap pop of simply saying, "I plan on increasing funding, so you get more guns, and you'll be happy, so you'll vote for me!". It doesn't really work like that.

Once elected I plan on doing an in depth review of both the CAF books, and hopefully the TCO's even though they don't know about that yet.

"But you just told them they can read it here!" you'll say.

Luckily I know better. I have it on good authority that a vast majority of the TCO is functionally illiterate. The only things they can read are "TCO" and "Vote" which is why all of their articles need scantily clad women. If they weren't there the articles would go nowhere. But I digress.

Once the overview is complete I will sit down with the new "Triumvirate" I plan to replace the current MoD structure with and decide what's best for our armed forces.

As it stands right now I don't see throwing money at them as the best bang for the buck. I'm leaning towards state funded company upgrades so that we can fight more efficiently but that's just an early guess. I won't know until we work out the details.

As for the operation of the two branches, unless there's glaring problems or inefficiencies I would see no reason to interfere with either of them.

I don't count HOPE because they don't want to be counted. If they change their position on this there will certainly be a seat at the table.

This is the other candidates's "Military Policy" except they skipped the step of turning it into guns first.

Economic Policy:

Remember in my last article when I said I knew my strengths and weaknesses? Well this the latter.

My understanding of in-game economics is basic at best. As best as I can figure the world's economy is in the shitter. The Admins are pushing down the global economy to make buying gold mandatory if you want to keep your country on the map. I'm not saying I disagree with them, after all they're in this to make money and if I'm working and making a gold a day in CAD they don't get their cut.

Do I like what they're doing? No. Do I understand why they're doing it? Absolutely.

Is there anything we can do to stop the plummeting economy? I don't know. Will I have people around me who will have much better ideas then me at how we can try and do it? You bet your ascot I will.

I can't make any promises in this aspect of the game because it's simply impossible. The world's in a tailspin and I can't tell you what I'll be able to do to stop it, because there's nothing I can do. Can I mitigate damages? Maybe. Can I mess it up anymore? Judging by the fact that CAD went from 200/au to 300/au in the past 96 hours or so, probably not.

Like Forrest Gump once sai😛 "That's all I have to say about that."

I'd like a Q1 food please.

International Relations:
(y so serious?)

Long story short on this is the world's in turmoil. It's not as bad as ATLANTIS(Us) VS. PEACE GC (Them) yet but it's getting there. With EDEN in decline and TERRA congealing into a solid alliance and "NWO/ONE" expanding in Europe our place on the global scene is tentative at best.

I think in the best interest of eCanada as a nation we will be best served to have as many allies as possible (a-duh). I know that the TCO is constantly on the move fighting for other countries, and I'd like to feel the favor will be returned when we need the help. We get that reciprocating love by having allies that depend on us, and in return we can depend on them.

At this point I can make it known that I have spoken to Chucky Norris eCanadian Super-Hero and our most experienced Military Attacher and he will be spearheading our involvement with both alliances until such point that one of them disintegrates, or the best interest of eCanada is no longer being served by remaining a member. I can't imagine the latter happening, but in the current global climate the former certainly is.

As for a war with the eUK as another candidate mentioned, I would be more interested in using ePortugal as an outlet, and striking somewhere in South America (assuming it's feasible) since the eUK tends to treat us like Russia treated Napolean.

If it were this simple, I'd buy weighted dice that only rolled 6s

Domestic Policy

Domestic Policy breaks down into two departments the way I see it.

First is dealing with new players, and second is dealing with existing players.

The way we keep new players playing and active is simple. We give them a reason to play. The TCO has been having a lot of luck with Flash Recruiting. I think this can be modified to work on new players as well. Someone joins eCanada, they get a handful of PMs from players, not trying to recruit them to Political Parties or groups, but just to engage them in the game and keep them interested.

Every player that signs up, logs on, 2 clicks for 3 or 4 days, doesn't make any contacts, loses interest and quits is a lost resource as far as the country's concerned. Every body we keep, is another body we can use to build this country. New player retention will be a large part of the focus of my "Ministry of the Interior".

The other main aspect of my Domestic Policy is communication. The past two months have been dreadful as far as communication is concerned. I'm not pointing at one person and laying blame at their feet. The "revamp" (rea😛 attempted murder) of the Media Module takes a lot of the blame, but it can't take it all. I want to change that.

I included in my post on the Union Nationale's forum seeking their nomination that I would appreciate a member of their party stepping up and offering to act as the media writer for the Francophones and hopefully one does. Well, for M_Loiselle's sake anyway, because if no one steps up he's gonna get volunteered. Don't like it M_Loiselle? Too bad, welcome to the Military Dictatorship Party.

As for the Anglophone articles Dominik has been volunteered to write those. I figure it's the least he can do in exchange for me keeping the terrible secret he told me.

Also, to all my Francophone friends, I apologize for the unilingual article. My meager French skills aren't sufficient to write this article in both official languages, and the end result would be a butchering worse than the job I did in my post on your forums.

See, we can be friends.

Military? Check! Economy? Check! Internation Policy? Check! Domestic Policy? Check!

Eye candy? CHECK!
So much for avoiding the cheap pop~

Happy Belated Easter!

And for the ladies:

What a Hoser.

See what I did there?
