My beloved eIndia,

This is a very special day for our country. We are fighting with PRIDE after a very long time. Brace yourselves, this is going to be a long article!

Intro

I had been gone from the game for 2 months, 2 clicking to increase my strength because I had lost all interest in anything to do with eIndia. My plan was, become a tank while in D1, and then become a BH hunter. Sounds familiar right?

One day, I log in and what I find startles me. A bunch of South American countries have proposed Airstrike on us at the same time. I knew the reason, our Foreign Affairs had failed miserably. Actually, for the last 2 years, it has constantly sucked. So, I took a week off from the game and when I come back, I find that eIndia looks like this on the map:



Everyone was trying to grab all the pieces they could!

Then, I saw a ray of hope-> Real Steel 4

This guy had posted an article expressing his desire to run for President next month. He had a detailed plan and the burning desire to do something. At last, I had found someone in this mess of our community who was willing to take charge. Therefore, I decided to extend my full support to him as if it was my campaign. We talked for hours on IRC and I realized many things that we had messed up.

Babyboom

The core of all our problems lies in the fact that we don't have enough population to do anything. Thus, one of my main goals for coming back to the game is to GET eIndia its long pending babyboom. I have started the extensive campaign and let me know if you wish to contribute. Do fill out the survey mentioned HERE.

I agree that we cannot REALLY control that, and we can just try our bit. That's exactly what I am here to do. So, I would appreciate all the help I can get.

Foreign Affairs

Yes, we don't have enough active players but we have a lot of regions and resources. So, obviously we tempt a lot of foreign powers and they have tried every trick in the book to occupy for since the advent of the New World. We have been politically taken over, wiped out, rented, but what happened this time has never really happened before. We were GANG B*NGED!

Do you know why alliances reject us? Why no one helps us when we most need them? Why we are ignored and bullied by every tiny speck of an e-nation (Yes, I just said that!)
We have our priorities wrong. This is not the real world where if you are occupied by some foreign power, they destroy your culture, you are a refugee, and your military is disbanded.

In this game, we can always rise back up. Even if we are wiped off, it just makes us more determined and stronger than ever to fight back. Yes, thats what this game is about, FIGHTING!

Every time we have someone knocking on our doors to occupy us, we tend to NEGOTIATE with them. I have nothing against negotiations, and I am not advocating having a united India all the time. But, what do we gain from those negotiations??

On one side, we are trying to negotiate with Aurora to join the alliance, and on the other side, we are happily letting their enemies take our lands and establish bases here. Not that we can militarily fight them off, but atleast we can express our disapproval and not engage in any "negotiations" with them for the sake of consistency in Foreign relations.

We seem to have some kind of eStockholm Syndrome where we get closer to our abductor (in this case, occupier). This has led to us switching sides far too often in the past. Yes, a lot of nations switch sides but they do it for very different reasons. We do it based on who is in a stronger position compared to us, and not what is more beneficial.

We need to stop all negotiations with oppressors. Again, I have no problem renting regions to other countries. If we are on good terms (like Bulgaria) then we don't even need rent. However, if a country randomly airstrikes us and then says we are nice and we care for you, we will pay you 1000 INR a month for it, why do we accept it. What will that 1000 INR do for us??? That is 1 medal for 1 citizen. Seriously, that's the level we get down to?

WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE, SO WHY LOSE OURSELVES??

So what happened?

Finally, the last part of my rant: When I saw calvin's article yesterday, I was really impressed because I did not think anyone in the current government would concur with my thoughts. His challenge was to new players but I had abnormally high expectations from them. I am not blaming anyone in particular, is it very natural to be idealistic and rant but not exactly know what to do. But, me and some other people had made it obvious that we weren't happy either with the way things are, but no new player bothered to contact anyone regarding what they could do for eIndia. Thus, I had to organize this Resistance with Real Steel 4 and the whatsapp group and everyone else who helped in their own ways. Someone had to lead.

We need to show our allies that we aren't just good negotiators (ahem ahem!!) but we know how to fight for what is ours too. We need to make them internalize the fact that we will be there for them when they need us.

Finally, eIndia is not a public parking lot where anyone can just park their car anytime they want and leave when they feel like.
