My First Thoughts on the eUK
Sambo223
Welcome to my second article, sadly over the next few minutes/seconds as you read this article 2 Americans will die somewhere in the world from being fat. This is not your fault do not worry. Unless of course you invented the cheeseburger then it is your fault and you should feel bad.
So I've been around in the 'eWorld' for a few days now and what have I found. Not much to be honest the 'eWorld' looks barren and bare luckily it appears to have attracted a good bunch of people who like taking the piss. They also try to make it look like they are running a proper country with Presidents and Ministries and even a NHS (I do like this NHS they give me free food).
I've been thinking a bit about what I could bring to this game in the small/no existent role I currently hold as homeless bum. I wondered as many ideas seem to be in place such as political parties and things like the NHS but we don't appear to have the UK army in this game when it clearly gives us the opportunity. I have seen we have a Royal Navy but that appears to have no special attachment to the government that separates it from the other individual Military Units in the game.
So I put it to you today. Would be be possible to create a UK army and RAF and create a unified fighting force that every UK citizen can join and be apart of. Surely this would make so a stronger unit and allow us to help citizen become better on the battlefield.
Well that's my idea into this game for now that the society can build on. I'd list what the game itself could do to be better but after speaking with the few people I've found active for just a couple minutes I've learnt this list could go on forever.
Enjoy your day and please comment on your opinion and give it a vote so more people can see this article.
Thanks,
Your local Billy

Shots fired at the top there.
I think Bigant was trying to press for a unified fighting force a while back, it was apparently met with strong resistance though, so maybe it's not the most popular idea.
There's an RAF, it used to be attached tothe UKPP, but that didn't go well so it's now a small, isolated force.
An Military Unit attached to a political party. Oh no!!! A unified force would be pretty cool in my opinion though. Give the game another layer for players. MoD wouldn't have to post orders every day to hope people read they could directly control where we all fight and give us a better chance of winning.
Yeah, it's always seemed like a good idea to me but I haven't said so because I haven't heard the argument against it.
🙂
Well its probably because I'm new to the game but I don't see too many negatives at the moment
You'd actually be taking away a layer of the game for many people, instead of adding one. One unified MU would mean very few people doing all the things that many people do now.
Bitches love buttons, you try and take the buttons away from the bitches and your just opening yourself up for a world of pain!
Problem with a country MU is the government's expected to fund it.
Too expensive to provide decent supplies in a national MU, so it'd be fairly pointless seeing as we're all fighting in the right places anyway. Everybody in a national MU means less supplies all round unless you have some very rich and generous people involved.
But there doesn't appear to be a way to directly pay soldiers so no one is a professional soldier so surely funding it shouldn't be too hard. If people want a pay then the gov could give MUs money to set COs which appears to be the only way to pay fighters directly.
I have learnt that we have been robbed a few times in the past by our own players so money is not there so I can see that issue. Thanks for your input Rob
BA ruined his chances of making a unified force when he robbed us blind
Let's be honest, half of the people just disagreed with BigAnt because it was BigAnt. Although, it has been tried before and it didn't work in the end plus mixing government/politics with running an MU doesn't always work.
Its been tried before and did'nt work mate tbh
All loyal MUs in the UK follow the MoD instructions anyway so i dont see the point of a national MU
'loyal MUs'? You say they like some are rogue lol
Any idea why it didn't work when it was tried?
Meh i cant remember tbh mate.
When i say loyal MUs i mean those that fight only for the UK and her allies. Some MUs could be merc MUs.Others just do their own thing.
Ah understood. So some MUs wouldn't be up for joining a national MU as they are mercs.
As it is now, we have many flavours of MU's to suit the wide range of tastes the eUK has. Why take that away?
well I'm not suggesting we force everyone to join but the option isn't even there for this particular taste but I understand your point
We're all just here because of the community, whatever role you play in it, and I think we're hoping that eventually one day the admins will realise what this game could be. They haven't done anything completely awful for longer than normal, so there's that!
Don't worry, they will think of something to make up for lost time
Still, it'd be hard for them to destroy the community!
Good article Billy. Also I was for that idea long time ago even when i"ve been CP,but never made that and
Congress hadn"t agreed for that.We have already enough MU"s in eUK,who follow MoD Orders daily.o7
Many reasons why it wouldn't work, I'll list you a few:
- Government funded is the same as tying an arm behind your back and entering a boxing match. A fair few members of eUK are vastly richer than the Government and can often out supply the limited funds eUK as a nation produces.
- Politics always interferes with the military. It's been proven time and time again, good politician players don't make the best military men and the best military men don't always make the best politicians
- Personal politics doesn't lend itself well to a united military.
- Massive MU's for some players is a turn off. As a former member of a large MU I've seen how easy it is for newer/less vocal players to get lost and drowned out in the din.
Well you could always censor political lobbying in the MU although that does sound a dick move 😛
I like your points and I'm starting understand now this is a difficult task and not one people really want. I especially like your point about new players losing their voice in all the bitching. Thanks for your points Wayne.
Also I've been told by a few to say Hey to you so...HEY!!!
You do have some good points Billy, Many countries do have national MU's and it hasn't hurt them I wonder how Poland keep 500 active members fighting a day , Macedonian Army 146 active fighters each day, The Top unit for UK active fighters is the Navy around 60
check this link out you can see all the armies of the eWorld
http://www.egov4you.info/units/overview
I think what also helps is they have a bigger population so more active fighters. Thanks for the link though some interesting stats
Oh, since you're rather new to the game, this guy is quite a decent role model for young players...

Just don't move to Ireland 😛
How is he a good role model?
He was a pretty sensible new player when I knew him, he realised that strength is most important and set himself clear goals.
Although he was a bit boring 😛
Its a shame you didn't take his advice...
ooo burn
I agree Wayne, it is a shame.
What's he doing in Ireland?
Someone should have stolen his passport before he left.
what about me?
Ain't exactly young anymore Luke...
Nice article.

Tbh while I can't see a British army MU working, how about more government intervention (supplies) going into already existing MUs, to link them more to govt, I don't see why this couldn't work, and it would encourage more people to fight more often (economic incentive)
